Let's start with the positives. The two waiters in charge of the dining room did an excellent job, providing fast and efficient service. If you're looking for a place in the center of Florence with truly competitive prices, this is the right spot. However, if you're seeking a high-end culinary experience, perhaps choose another, more expensive option. The first dish I ordered was microwaved (like all the dishes, according to the waiters) and tasted, shall we say, not fresh. On the plus side, I asked to exchange it for another, and there was no problem. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in an authentic restaurant. Recommended for drinks and aperitifs.

I ordered a ribolita. I was expecting a kind of soup, but I received something more like a stew. No bread was served. I was led into a very noisy room. Then, on top of the bill, an extra €1.50 just for a rather expensive spoonful. I'll have to go back and I'm disappointed.

Authentic restaurant with local food. The pasta was great and the portion is big. They are having nice local starters as well and the prices are great. If you want to try a local place you should stop by. The restaurant its in the basement and you will probably don’t have signal, but they are offering free wifi.

Trattoria La Casalinga

17/03/2026: A very special place it was 60 years old in 2023 and I will never forget it. Incredible food, services and ambiance. Well done and hope you keep doing the same for another 60 years
15/03/2026: Really great food, served quickly and with very friendly service (even given our appalling efforts at speaking Italian!). Highly recommend and we'll definitely go back when we're in Florence again.
