We visited this restaurant and were thrilled. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was truly delicious: you could taste the passion in the kitchen. The gentleman who welcomed and served us was extremely kind and attentive to our needs and those of our baby. Thank you, we'll be back very soon!!!

Super welcoming atmosphere. Traditional (and non-traditional) dishes are well-prepared and excellent. The Amatriciana is excellent. The tiramisu, although a little different from traditional, is delicious. Extremely kind and hospitable staff. We'll definitely be back!

This isn't the first time we've chosen this restaurant, and each time it's a pleasant surprise. In addition to the menu items, there was the option of choosing the daily specials. Whatever dish you choose, it's perfectly prepared and delicious every time. We tried the grilled swordfish and the cheek in red wine, and we chose two desserts to finish, both delicious. It's a confirmation every time. The staff is incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommended. See you next time!

…some friends are coming from Maglie for a visit to the Gemelli, and I'm frantically searching for a place in the area so they don't have to travel all the way to my house. After a series of commercial establishments, I spot a place whose name immediately inspires trust. The reviews are excellent, but my fellow advisors aren't always reliable; you have to read a lot to get a clearer idea. Revisited dishes with a solid traditional base, an intimate setting that's not overly overbearing... I'm booking! The location isn't exactly easy to find; the GPS tends to lead you astray, but in the end, it's easier than you thought. The intimacy of the place and the open kitchen are perfect for me, but let's read the menu. The dishes are inspired by Roman tradition, but the influence of Abruzzo is evident in the cheese and egg balls, which I've come to love during my travels through the regions for work. While my friends and my wife are familiarizing themselves with the menu, I've already made up my mind, but I'm waiting and choosing the wine. An excellent Tintilia by Claudio Cipressi, which I know well from my visits to Molise, vinified as a rosé, served very cold in its seau à glacé. We choose to order: fried artichokes, tripe frittata, and cheese and egg balls to start. My wife and my friend don't like tripe, while I love it, but this is a traditional Roman dish of humble origins: a fake tripe made with an egg omelette, sauce, and Roman mint that resembles tripe. In fact, it's a success when tasted. The fried artichokes are golden brown, coated only in semolina, truly delicious, and the cacio e ova balls are delicious. Let's move on to the first courses. For me, the cacio e pepe is one of the best I've ever tasted, creamy, flavorful with pecorino cheese, and rich with freshly ground pepper. I'll definitely try it again. My friend has an amatriciana, and the ladies indulge in the buffalo stracciatella ravioli with tomato and basil sauce, "fore de capu," as we say in Salento! A dessert is a perfect fit, so Ferromisù made with Gentilini biscuits—we're in Rome, and it seems perfect—and my ricotta and sour cherry tart from ancient Rome. My only complaint here is the crust, perhaps too hard for a plated dessert and too big to eat with your hands. I would have preferred a softer pastry, but it has all the makings for a great success. I'll try to return with other friends as soon as I can, see you next time! Well-deserved and sincere congratulations!!

Today I had lunch at Ristorante Ferro – Officina del Gusto, in the Pineta Sacchetti area of Rome, and the experience was truly excellent. From the very beginning, you can sense the attentive, professional, and welcoming management: the owners exude friendliness, warmth, and great customer care. The open kitchen is a sign of quality, transparency, and cleanliness that inspires immediate trust. The service is essential yet precise, with a simple table setting that emphasizes order, care, and elegance. The ingredients are top-quality, carefully selected, and the culinary offerings combine Roman tradition with highly interesting modern reinterpretations. We chose an extraordinary cacio e pepe, perfectly creamed, and flavorful. The puntarelle with anchovies were incredibly fresh, crispy, and prepared with authentic ingredients that enhance the authentic flavor of Roman cuisine. We enjoyed a pleasant lunch break in a welcoming and well-appointed environment, with impeccable service both in the dining room and in the kitchen. Kudos to the owners: Ferro is a restaurant worth not only trying, but also recommending and promoting. They're truly excellent!

Pasticceria Valzani SNC

15/06/2026: A typical and traditional pastry shop in Trastevere. The cannoli, filled to order, are extraordinary. Good chocolates too.
09/06/2026: Best chocolate in Roma! I’ve been going here since 1997, the time when I lived literally right across the street. The quality has never changed. In the old days, they used to make something called a Torrone, a nougat role. Unfortunately, they no longer make those and are concentrating simply on chocolates. You can’t go wrong! A very old shop, beautifully run, and filled with deliciousness!!!
