The trattoria is authentic and familiar, the kind where you're immediately on first name terms and the atmosphere puts you at ease. The managers and the very young waiters are all smiling and helpful. If they sense a connection at the table, a pleasant conversation breaks out, as happens in authentic places. (Not many)
The portions of the first and second courses are decidedly generous, perhaps even too much. A practical tip: if you order the roast potatoes, one portion for two is more than enough. The risottos, on the other hand, are simply spectacular.
The only downside is the price. We're in the old Baggio district, a working-class neighborhood, and the prices are more like those of a centrally located trattoria than those of a suburban one.
That said, one thing must be said without beating around the bush: the food is truly delicious. And, in the end, the dish is more satisfying than the bill.

Typical Lombard cuisine with expertly prepared dishes. The cassoeula is very good, and the mondeghili are well-made. The owners are very friendly.

I wasn't thrilled with the restaurant: the service, while excellent, was particularly slow, and the food wasn't as good as I expected. We waited almost an hour for the risotto, and by the time the last risottos arrived, the first ones to receive theirs had already finished it (we had three types of rice between us). It must be said that, obviously, a table of 10 people is demanding, but there weren't many other tables besides ours. The mixed antipasto was adequate (I don't know how the mondeghili were cooked, but they're not like those I've found in any other Milanese trattoria), while the risotto with ossobuco was pleasant.
Nothing bad overall, but the expectations were high. Prices were average.

Excellent trattoria in Baggio!
We ate really well: the best mondeghili I've ever had, saffron risotto with ossobuco on top, also delicious, then we had the elephant ear they serve with a side of baked potato chips.
The portions are generous!
The restaurant is easy to find, and free parking is available nearby.
The service was a bit slow, but I didn't mind; in fact, it's almost a miracle to find a restaurant that doesn't have shifts on weekends and you have to get up at 2 PM sharp to free up a table!
I recommend making a reservation.
We'll definitely be back!
