One of the best dinners I've ever had!
The frico was tasty and light. The risotto with honey, Montasio cheese, pine nuts, and exquisite balsamic vinegar.
The tiramisu reminded me of the delicious one my mom makes :)
At the end of the evening, a pleasant chat with the chef confirmed the passion that was already evident in the dishes.
Do yourself a favor and go to Ex Provinciali!

We were greeted with simplicity, kindness, and care. While ordering, we were repeatedly warned that the portions were generous, so as not to overdo it. This attention to detail is truly rare and delightful, both for its respect for the customer and its ability to prevent waste. The quality of the ingredients is truly excellent, and the recipes are traditional but with some truly original combinations. I recommend booking; on a Monday night, the place was fully booked. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I left this place less than two hours ago and I'm dying to review it! It's hard to be surprised at the table! It was a wonderful experience: everything was made with passion and quality. Every dish is a blend of culinary tradition and creativity! Excellent!

A wonderful dining experience, with an excellent vegetable buffet. The grilled roast beef was delicious. Reasonable prices. Good Spanish beer. The only downside: they don't have a paper menu; you have to pull out your phone, which you'd rather forget, to read it. It would be much easier to print a sheet of paper. It also clashes with the rustic character of the place. A bit annoying.

We spent €50 each for one appetizer, three first courses, and a second course with a side. A bit too much, in my opinion. The dishes were high-quality, all more or less original and intriguing. As soon as we arrived, a lady greeted us and seated us, but we had to wait 10 minutes just for the table to be set. We stayed for three hours in total. Maybe I came on a short-staffed day, who knows?
The atmosphere is like a true osteria.
I'm editing my review because I don't know how to respond to the owner's reply: I didn't order wine, dessert, or coffee. At least be sure to remember the customer who served you before responding. Anyway, the point was that it's a place worth trying, but only when you're not that hungry!

Cucina tradizionale friulana e lombarda, spesso con spunti innovativi, in un ambiente tipico, raccolto e informale. L'osteria Ex Provinciali, situata in una lateriale di via Manin, rappresenta una simpatica alternaitva per mangiare bene spendendo poco nel centro storico udinese.Virginia e Fiorenzo, i due cordiali titolari, garantiscono un servizio sorridente e impeccabile. Il locale è semplice e accogliente. Da provare la polenta concia, fatta con salsiccia, formaggio e pomodoro e una gustosa fetta di crostata alle carote. Speciali anche le zuppe e i risotti. Molto fornita anche la cantina.
