I love eating there, I already had lunch there every day as soon as it opened, when there was a buffet (only for lunch!!). And it was already wonderful. I love it, there is no one who can compete ❤️

Welcoming place, very kind staff ready to advise in times of need. Delicious breakfasts, the same goes for lunches and dinners. They also sell products such as vegetable drinks, vegan cheeses, vegan cold cuts and much more of excellent quality. Really recommended, unfortunately no photos of everything.

Very nice place, clean, welcoming and quiet. Excellent menu, with lots of choice, excellent quality. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are very fair, considering that vegan food is much more expensive and the quality is truly excellent! Both the chickpea soup and the tortelli, even the sandwiches are delicious!! A breather if you are vegan and you are in Grosseto

Simply perfect! When I'm in those parts, Essenza is an obligatory stop. Delicious everything on every occasion, lunch, dinner and breakfast. All vegan! Highly recommended

Cercavamo un ristorante aperto in una domenica di inizio novembre e per fortuna abbiamo trovato questo posticino aperto. Devo dire che ce ne erano altri aperti e con tavoli liberi ma per qualche strano motivo non ci hanno fatto sedere. Qui invece ci hanno accolto volentieri e siamo stati molto contenti. Il ristorante si trova subito fuori le mura che circondano il centro storico di Grosseto, in una piazza con un ampio parcheggio. La loro idea è quella di proporre un menù a base di prodotti vegetali e biologici e devo dire che stanno facendo un ottimo lavoro. I piatti che abbiamo preso noi (Lasagna e gnocchi di patate) erano veramente appetitosi. Sicuramente lo consiglio

Sono stata due volte in questo ristorante vegano a Grosseto. Che dire… una piacevole scoperta! Ho mangiato piatti ottimi, dai tortelli al ragù, all’arrosto di seitan, passando per la cecina gourmet e l’hamburger… tutto rigorosamente vegano senza derivati animali. L’ambiente è curato e intimo, si sta veramente benissimo. Personale gentilissimo. Tornerò sicuramente… devo provare tutto il menù! Consigliatissimo.

04/11/2024: I can "understand" the negative reviews because it is clearly not a place for everyone, including me. But precisely because it is clearly not a place that focuses on quantity but on quality these do not make sense. First of all, it is not easy to reach but that alone makes it, in my opinion, a characteristic place like Sorano. Just as the place is characteristic and fascinating. The food is not commercial or refined but traditional, local and revisited, something which, as mentioned before, may not please everyone but I think that is not their aim, their aim is to make you discover new flavors or perhaps it would be better to say rediscover . I would also say a word about the wine list but, again as stated, it is not a place even for me who am absolutely not an expert. The person who served us was very kind, who I believe was the owner, who for a small oversight offered a glass of fine wine to a table... but, I tell this to underline that it is not a place for everyone, he probably must have regretted it when he saw it stay in the glasses :'(

31/12/2024: Yet another confirmation of the quality and tradition that this place offers. The food is always excellent, with generous portions and very high quality ingredients. The managers stand out for their attention and care towards the customer, making each visit a pleasant experience. Even though it was December 30th and there was an event in town, the place was crowded but perfectly managed, without ever creating chaos. A welcoming and well-organised environment. Highly recommended!
27/12/2024: My girlfriend and I stayed in Santa Fiora for 4 days between Christmas and New Year with the idea of ​​trying out the different restaurants in the town. The first evening I came across "Il Barilotto" and the food was so good that we ended up having dinner here every evening to try the whole menu. All truly exquisite and absolutely acceptable prices. The guys who serve in the room are uniquely friendly. You guys are number one! I hope to return soon.
