Erbavoglio Modena In Modena

We returned to Erbavoglio to try the tasting menu (in December). We were disappointed because we expected to try "new" flavors, and instead of eight courses, two were practically the same (sautéed radicchio with two creams). We honestly hoped there wouldn't be tortellini. We did the tasting to try new dishes. The "crispy" spaghetti was rubbery and bland, tasted burnt, and was inedible. The other dishes were good, but for the price we paid (€230 for two), we certainly expected much better. I wouldn't recommend it.

Experience below expectations We had lunch at Erbavoglio, choosing an 8-course tasting menu for Valentine's Day. During the service, there were obvious organizational issues. So much so that we ate the first two courses in 40 minutes, followed by a generous half-hour wait, and finally a relay race for the remaining courses. I should point out that the wait was caused by an error: our dish was served at the next table—a rice dish that, in the rush, was brought to us without even a minute's cooking time. The young woman who served us explained what had happened and apologized, which was appreciated. The young man who was serving tables with her, however, was arrogant and rude, barely presenting the dishes. Regarding the quality of the food, I should point out that the ingredients were well chosen, but not excellent, as the dishes seemed more assembled than conceived. In fairness, I'll also mention what we appreciated. The chard casket with fava bean tempeh and carrot béarnaise was excellent, the vegan chocolate was delicious, and the music playlist was fabulous. The price of €85 was fair, but considering that you can eat at even Michelin-starred restaurants for around €100, this might be a skippable experience.

A unique experience, fantastic food, and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a repeat.

Last Sunday, I had lunch at Erbavoglio with a friend, opting for the "Discovery" tasting menu with the addition of tortellini. The place is small and cozy, with a cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease, despite the background noise created by the music (just right, not too intrusive). The service was attentive, thoughtful, and always available, without being intrusive. The menu has just been updated—fresh, with attention to detail, and featuring truly delicious quality ingredients. The dishes are refined, creative, and carefully presented, a sign that the staff truly cares. Some flavors could still be refined to achieve the perfect balance, but overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. Recommended for a special lunch for two!

I ate here with some friends: from the outside, it didn't look like much, but inside, it's very welcoming and quiet, decorated with originality and taste. The dishes are beautifully presented and everyone loved them, both for their flavor and the attention to detail, often described by the waiter in their ingredients. We were offered an appetizer: a small, very welcome sampler, and some bread with flavored sour cream, both very good. The combinations were excellent and original, even in the desserts. The quality/price ratio was average, and we had a great experience choosing à la carte. Recommended!

Perfect food, tasty, unpretentious dishes, excellent ingredients. Service could be improved. Wine list with limited selection and high prices. Overall, a positive experience that I recommend.

It wasn't my first time there, but once again it confirmed my enthusiasm. Research and work goes into every dish and every pairing. I recommend taking a guided tasting tour. I had it completely vegan, my partner vegetarian. It was all truly exciting. As soon as the menu changes, we'll definitely be back. PS: My partner, an omnivore, was amazed and very satisfied with the lunch!!

Wonderful restaurant in the center of Modena. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the ambiance to the service. Excellent options, even for omnivores who want to explore vegan or vegetarian cuisine. We tried two appetizers and two first courses: simply fabulous! Excellent value. Highly recommended!

Pretentious and overrated. The food was dull even if nicely presented and the service was forgetful. Definitely not worth the hype. Good atmosphere and design.

We had lunch here for our anniversary and, in addition to enjoying a splendid, sophisticated and satisfying five-course tasting menu, they were very prompt in fulfilling our request for a bouquet of flowers. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location was welcoming and intimate. We will definitely be back.
