Excellent food, a truly quaint osteria, small but welcoming. Friendly staff. It's definitely not a tourist trap like the others in this area.

We stopped by Er Polpetta for a casual bite and tried the fried cod, French fries with Aperol Spritz, and the Amatriciana meatballs. The overall vibe is typical of restaurants around the main tourist areas — relaxed, easy to walk into. Service was a strong point: the staff were attentive and spoke perfect English, making the experience smooth.
That said, the appetizers were underwhelming. The fried cod was a bit tough, the batter thick and not fully cooked through — it felt heavy rather than crisp. The Amatriciana meatballs were much better — flavorful, nicely portioned, though on the salty side.
A decent stop if you’re nearby and want quick, friendly service, but the food was hit or miss for us

Had lunch today at Er Polpetta, wow, delicious carbonara, meatballs, a must try. Friendly staff, 2 steps from Piazza Navona. Highly recommended.

Everything here was truly delicious – from the traditional polpetta to gnocchi to tiramisu.
Don't let the proximity to Piazza Navona put you off – this restaurant is no tourist trap!

Arrivata l'ora di pranzo abbiamo deciso di fermarci qua, situato in una traversa di piazza Navona. Tavolo all'aperto, menù vario con piatti tipici romani. Personale gentile. Io ho scelto ossobuchi con piselli. Buonissimi!!!

Este es un restaurante encantador cerca de Piazza Navona, nos alojamos cerca por una semana y comimos aquí dos veces que era tan bueno.
Buena elección de pizzas y pastas para los niños, pero es mejor conocido por la amplia gama de opciones de albóndigas en el menú, y las patatas asadas como acompañamiento estaba perfectamente cocinado.
El personal era amable y el ambiente era genial!
