Beautiful evening! Stunning location in the magical setting of Bolsena Castle, friendly and very welcoming atmosphere. Excellent wine and delicious food. This wine shop is located in a splendid panoramic position, with seating right in front of the Rocca. We dropped in to learn more about the Aleatico produced in the area. The woman who welcomed us was very professional and kind. She explained the wine and let us taste it, offering us some homemade sweet tarallini. We liked it and purchased a bottle. We also toured the underground cellar inside the wine shop, which was truly beautiful! They've created a cozy little space for tastings. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

AENOS is more than just a wine bar; it's like entering the court of the historic fortress that once belonged to the Monaldeschi family. The atmosphere here is like drinking a glass of wine in a courtyard where you feel catapulted back to the Middle Ages. Every brick you step on and see around you, while sipping the excellent and "intoxicating" wine expertly served by Master Sofia and Master Andrea, is steeped in history, exuding the energy of a full, dark, and mysterious era. A young couple has been running the place for a few months. We enjoyed an aperitif lunch with a delicious cold cuts platter served with edible flowers and some good craft beers (see photo), captivated by the location and the good music at the right volume. Andrea told us how the idea for this venture came about, and we wanted to learn more: so we organized a tasting in their "cellar" with four local wines and cold cuts and cheese platters. A very positive experience!
