I'm just leaving this comment, not a review, because I don't know this current place, but I lived there in the early 1970s. My parents were the owners and managers of the place, which at the time was Bar Umberto, with a billiard room. On the upper floor there was an apartment, and in the square there was a fountain, which was Piazza Savona at the time... Greetings to everyone, and best wishes to the owner of this place. I'm leaving the stars as a pure reminder of that period. If by chance I'm passing through Alba one day, I'll be happy to visit.

Be careful – instead of two €18, we were charged two €20 for pasta with tartufo. The amount was changed without comment after we complained. So be sure to check your bill!

What a lovely evening! We really did not expect this level of perfection - the food, the wine, the service - all delicious and exceptional - and at absolutely fair prices! When in Alba, we will definitely come here again!

A wonderful place to eat, drink, and relax. Located directly on the piazza. Good food and a large wine selection. The head waiter is a true character and knows how to pamper and entertain his guests.

13/10/2025: Exceptional service: it's the face of the place, with unwavering helpfulness and a sense of homeliness that they convey so well. The staff knows their stuff, and it's a truly welcoming, informal yet tastefully decorated trattoria. There's little to say about the food (and plenty to try for yourself): delicious, beautifully cooked, filling portions, and truly well-prepared. Finally, the ambiance deserves a special mention, as it's a hallmark of the place's quality. If you're in the area, Trattoria D'Asti is a must-visit for a truly satisfying lunch. Prices are reasonable and not excessive for both the quality and quantity of food. Highly recommended.
