We ate very well, Emilio was very friendly, spaghetti with clams and gnocchi with cream of scampi were exceptional, with delicious fried food 😋. I will definitely be back.

We wanted to have an intimate family dinner for Christmas Eve. The dishes were all excellent, well-crafted, and beautifully presented. I recommend the gnocchi with mussels and shrimp... delicious! The atmosphere was very nice and homely. I recommend it!

Maybe we were unlucky (dinner July 2025), but the food wasn't that great (spaghettini with clams for example) and the price wasn't justified.

We went to this place thanks to a trekking agency, but what a pleasant surprise. Emilio is a brilliant person with his own ideas, which I don't always agree with, but he's pleasant and, above all, capable of putting his guests at ease. Excellent food, beautifully cooked. I had such a wonderful time this evening. I invite you to go without hesitation... like us. Thanks, Emilio.

Very nice atmosphere and good quality food, the problem... the service. Slow in general... the girl who does the "service" wasn't very well trained, the owner on the other hand was invisible and only "served" people he knew with a certain amount of attention... consequently, he wasn't even able to recommend a wine for our table... a big no for the timing, we sat down at 8 and didn't see the second course until two and a half hours later... a bit too much for what was served. Not to mention the prices, I can understand them, but €5.50 for a... a large potato cut into rounds... absurd... I wouldn't recommend it unless you're friends with the owner.

22/12/2025: La Cantina di Istia is a gem of Tuscan cuisine. We ate truly excellent food: homemade, authentic, and flavorful dishes prepared with great expertise. The chef is extremely skilled, and you can taste the love for tradition in every course. The staff is very friendly, warm, and always helpful. The atmosphere is rustic, warm, and typically Tuscan, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended! La Cantina di Istia è una perla della cucina toscana. Abbiamo mangiato davvero benissimo: piatti caserecci, genuini e richchi di sapore, preparati con grande competenza. Lo chef è estremamente preparato e si percepisce l’amore per la tradizione in ogni portata. Lo staff è super simpatico, accogliente e sempre disponibile. The atmosphere is rustic, warm and typical of Tuscany, which makes the atmosphere more beautiful. Assolutamente consigliata!
