We had dinner with fairly bland fried appetizers, the paella was bland, overcooked, and very expensive (I wasn't expecting the kind I'd had in Valencia), but from a restaurant that claims to be Spanish...super-fried churros. A gastronomic debacle with an astronomical bill. Goodbye.

We tried all the tapas on the menu. I must say they were good. They reminded us of our trips to Seville; the sangria was good. The service was okay. The atmosphere, although somewhat Spanish, wasn't exactly typical. However, this didn't influence our choice of Spanish food. Thank you for a pleasant evening. P.S. We tried other restaurants that claimed to serve typical Spanish cuisine, but they were beyond our review.

The seafood paella we ordered, "El Duende," was overcooked. A layer of rice had stuck to the pan and we couldn't remove it. Overcooking had absorbed the flavors and seasonings.

El Duende has become a pleasant tradition. When my friends come to visit and ask me where to eat well, I only have one answer: EL DUENDE! Traditional Spanish cuisine, a dreamy patanegra, excellent sangria served by polite and welcoming staff, and then the friendliness of the owner, Rosita (my love) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent Spanish cuisine, made with fresh, quality ingredients. The paella is amazing. The staff is attentive, friendly, and polite, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Highly recommended.

03/11/2025: My partner and I went for dinner. The restaurant is modern, with an open kitchen. They only have a few tables, so the service is attentive and fast. We opted for the meat tasting menu (€55) and were delighted, finding the attention to detail in the dishes remarkable. Furthermore, my partner is celiac and was able to enjoy a fantastic dinner despite this, as the kitchen was equipped with gluten-free bread and pasta. (Speaking with the staff, we believe we learned they also cater to lactose-free options.) They should publicize this feature more, because it's well worth it. The dishes always arrived together, and we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back!!
