Edobar In Sori

The customer service is incomprehensible, it almost seems like they don't care. We can't find any focaccia. They bake a beautiful, and I imagine delicious, cheese focaccia. We ask for slices and they say they can't cut it. We figured it was because it was hot, but all we had to do was say how long we'd have to wait, no explanation. We order some slices of tart, served on sheets of paper, the slices are all crumbled and then crumpled. There are trays, which are absolutely good, but the service also needs to be adequate.

We stayed in Sori for a weekend and, on the recommendation of a local, ended up having dinner at Edobar. The restaurant has the authentic atmosphere of a traditional trattoria, simple and welcoming. The food is truly excellent, and the staff is distinguished by their friendliness, helpfulness, and ever-present smiles. You can clearly sense their passion for their work, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Don't miss the tiramisu, it's exceptional.

A classic trattoria near the sea… Good quality… one drawback: the dishes and garnishes are too light compared to the pasta, which reflects a good price-to-quantity ratio.

Friendly staff and tasty, high-quality food. Small downside: the atmosphere is less appealing; it feels more like a football canteen.

A historic restaurant in Sori that I began frequenting in the early 1990s, when it was still located in its old location, which was rendered unusable by a flood. At the time, the main business was takeout, but it was also possible to dine in the small dining room. The owners' decision to move the business to a new location gave rise to what it is today: a trattoria where, in a welcoming and informal atmosphere, you can enjoy traditional Genoese dishes, as well as a remarkable variety of farinata, pizzas, vegetable pies, and homemade desserts. All this is accompanied by a truly excellent wine list. Of course, there's no shortage of craft beers, including some from local producers. Whenever I'm passing through the area, it's always a pleasure to dine at this trattoria.

Historic trattoria in Sori...the panissa and frisceu are truly excellent appetizers. And what can I say about the trofie with pesto, potatoes, and green beans? It's truly spectacular. The portions are generous, and the service is fast, friendly, and professional. The house white wine is a great choice for those who don't want to buy a bottle. All the dishes we saw were worth ordering. My compliments, truly.

What can I say? A fixed point. Sometimes I hear people say you have to evolve, change, adapt. Edo Bar proves that this isn't always the case. Perhaps the color of the checkered tablecloths has changed in 15 years. Everything is as good as ever. From the starters, to the farinata, cheese focaccia, and desserts. Reasonable prices and discounted parking next door. Magical. I also recommend it to outsiders who want to try Ligurian cuisine. Thanks for staying the same!
