Good subs but nothing exceptional, I found them a little oily and the "butter and anchovies" one didn't taste like anything (you couldn't really see the anchovies). I liked that they fry everything freshly. Good prices.

Today I ate a stellar supplì! I would like to thank the gentleman behind the counter as he was very kind. The classic supplì that I ate had an excellent breadcrumb covering, the rice cooked just right, meat and mozzarella at the top. I will definitely be back for more!

Considered among the best supplì in Rome, this Roman street food located among the stalls of the Testaccio market was worth a visit. The supplì, of various types, are on display in the display case still to be fried and are taken and fried on demand. I tried the classic one. The dimensions are XXL supplì and the breading is crunchy and coarse-grained. Waiting a moment before biting into it you will find the mozzarella, abundant, well melted and stringy; if you bite into it straight away, however, it is likely to still be a little compact. The filling, however, did not convince me because it was too rich in various flavours, which although pleasant, in my opinion take it too far from the flavor I expect from the classic Roman telephone supplì. Overall, an excellent supplì, which costs money but is worth the €3 price paid, but not the best in Rome.
