08/04/2025: I have gone several times to this trattoria on the first floor of a street that leads to Piazza Carlo Alberto, the location of Catania's open-air market: "a fera 'o lune". The first courses are very good but, when available, the spaghetti or linguine with cuttlefish and cuttlefish ink are unbeatable. Specific because cuttlefish is not always present in pasta with cuttlefish ink, in some trattorias/restaurants in Catania! The second courses are good, with the possibility of fish, meat (including horse) and grilled meatballs; in this regard, the part in the center of an entire small room inside (overlooking the courtyard) is dedicated to a large barbecue. The catch of the day is also prepared on the grill: very tasty blue fish that is not always found in Catania trattorias/restaurants: capon, mackerel, masculini, ala longa etc. The grilled meat and the generously sized grilled meatballs are also good. The kitchen and the room with the barbecue are visible. The appetizers of your choice are decent. The bread served was excellent. Good quality/price ratio. Improvable toilets. Trattoria frequented by both people from Catania and some foreigners.
