Du Grand Pere In Sestriere

Tried it on the evening of September 19, 2025. The restaurant is located in the quaint little village of Champlas Janvier, in the former stables of a beautifully renovated chalet. The interior is very welcoming and tasteful. The owner welcomed us with great courtesy and friendliness. After a complimentary aperitif, we had appetizers of raw meat carpaccio and a salad of celery, walnuts, and parmesan shavings. Everything was excellent. We continued with superb homemade cheese gnocchi and a seasonal soup. For dessert, a chestnut parfait was also excellent. We left very satisfied. We will definitely return to try other dishes in such a comfortable setting.

I have known this restaurant since its origins and it has always been among my favorites in the valley. This "new" management has made it an even more welcoming and pleasant place. The owners and staff were kind and attentive. The attentive and professional service. The food was sublime and well presented. Compliments!
