Those who come here shouldn't expect a classic pizzeria or a cheap restaurant where you can eat a lot for less. Here, the experience is different, more refined. The place is small but well-structured, organized, and carefully managed. The ambiance also conveys quality, and the same logic is reflected in the dishes.
The menu is well-constructed, and the prices are, in my opinion, fair for the offerings. I admit that, seeing the quantities, I was worried I'd leave hungry, but after the appetizer I was already satisfied, thanks in part to the excellent crusty bread served at the table. The eggplant in soy sauce with caciocavallo cheese was very good.
I'm from Bari and know the assassina well: for me, it was the only slightly less convincing aspect of the menu; I didn't find it very traditional—but that's also a matter of personal taste. The shrimp and lemon pairing, however, was excellent.
I ended the meal very pleasantly with a tiramisu served with a black cherry drink, refreshing and unique, a perfect accompaniment to dessert.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Definitely worth trying again.
