Nice place, good gubana but the price is too high in my opinion (8 euros for a 250g gubana; despite all the relevant distinctions, as it is not in a pastry shop but in a supermarket, a competitor's gubana costs 7 euros but is a good 850g.)

It's a given...aside from the historic gubane, the bread is excellent and the brioches are super fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and service is quick.

Great quality at reasonable prices, and exceptionally friendly staff. We were there every day for breakfast and often for a nightcap in the evening. We'll definitely be back!

We spent five nights in the Natisone Valley, and during our stay we went there almost every day for every occasion. Bread, pizza, baked goods, and pastries…all the products sparkled in the windows and in the baskets, making us stumped. Before leaving, we also picked up a piece of "Cuor di Marrone" (if I weren't allergic to nuts, I would have loved to try the famous Gubana!); it was so delicious and it gave us a sense of luxury. It's a real treasure; I'd go there every day if I lived nearby…in the meantime, we'll definitely try buying online for the special occasion.

They have several types of gubane, traditional ones with chestnuts. They also make great gift ideas. There's a good bakery attached.

We went there on Lonely Planet's recommendation and were very satisfied. In addition to the delicious Gubana, we had a very good walnut tart, and I was really impressed: the pastry with the incredible cream was crispy like I've rarely tasted before. The coffee was also excellent. Special praise to the girl who served us and who gave us lots of tips on places to eat in Udine, thank you!

21/02/2026: A hotel with an incredible Alpine vibe. The Italian owner is very friendly and helpful, and makes excellent coffee. The views from the hotel and town perfectly capture the beauty of the Dolomites. The rooms were cleaned daily, and cleanliness was meticulously maintained. The hotel isn't a typical commercial hotel with a swimming pool, etc., but rather a cozy guesthouse for people who want to experience life in the Italian mountains. Perhaps if I were to nitpick, I could find some drawbacks. But if someone wanted to go to a spa, they would choose a larger resort and miss out on the experience of living in a small Alpine town. With all my heart and conscience, I can recommend this bed and breakfast.
21/02/2026: The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains. The owner is very hospitable and kind. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the cold meats and cheeses were of very good quality, made from local produce. The hotel and rooms are very clean, with daily housekeeping. There is ample parking for guests directly below the hotel. We highly recommend it!

04/03/2026: I've been to this restaurant several times over the years, so my opinion isn't based on a single experience, but on multiple visits. The restaurant looks good: the ambiance is well-kept and pleasant, with furnishings that create a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing exceptional, but certainly pleasant. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the cuisine doesn't live up to the image the restaurant wants to convey, nor does it live up to the prices, which are high for the quality offered. On several occasions, I've found dishes to be too salty, excessively greasy, or with a general lack of balance in flavors. On one occasion, I was served raw fish that hadn't been cleaned thoroughly or that wasn't suitable for being served raw. The composition of some dishes also seemed sloppy and inadequate for either the price or the quality the restaurant seems to be promoting. Furthermore, the portions of the main courses have sometimes been truly small: in some cases, literally just a few bites. The service, while not the most critical aspect, doesn't help justify the overall cost of the experience. Even details like the amount of wine served by the glass seemed rather limited. In short, I have the feeling that the restaurant wants to present itself as a premium establishment, but that in reality it fails to live up to its standards, especially considering the prices. A disappointment, especially since it has matured over time and been confirmed by multiple experiences.
11/02/2026: Intimate, very refined atmosphere; superb cuisine with excellent staff, starting with the owner and the chef. Highly recommended for a quality lunch or dinner... congratulations!!
