DONA ONESTA In Venezia

This is not the first time to dine there I booked the table in balcony it’s romantic and unique.. i loved the service the food specially fish mix and lobster pasta .. the atmosphere and hospitality.. everything was perfect..my favourite place in Venice of all times.

One of our most memorable meals ever. Sat on the small balcony by the canal, incredible service, great food quality, best tiramisu I've ever had. Extremely reasonable value - €72 for bottle of wine, bread and oils, two pasta dishes and one tiramisu.

We have been coming to Venice for about 30 years and this restaurant has always been a favourite. But it did go a little ‘downhill’ a few years ago. I’m pleased to say that is back to it’s brilliant best. The food has always been fantastic, but in the past the restaurant has been very uncomfortable (hot, cramped) but not any more. It gets very busy, and a reservation is essential if you want to get one if the few tables outside. But we always prefer to sit inside - far more comfortable with good air con. Really pleased this favourite of ours is great once more.

I recently had my birthday dinner at this restaurant in Venice and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare, which was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh and the pasta was cooked just right. The wine was typical Italian and very good. I had booked a table outside on the terrace, which is right on the water. It was a beautiful setting, with gondolas passing by as we enjoyed our dinner. If you're looking for a great meal with a stunning view, I highly recommend this place!

It is very hard to look past this place. My wife and I had to go back again. In my opinion some of the best food in Venice. The beef fillet with the green pepper sauce is one of the best dishes I have had in Italy. We also had the mixed fish antipasto and this I highly recommend too as it was super fresh. The staff helped us pair a delicious bottle of wine with our meal and we couldn't get enough of it. The seating inside has a very warm and inviting feel and you can tell a lot of care has been taken to give you an authentic Venetian experience and provides a very classy environment. The outdoor seating was a very romantic area by the canal and peaceful. Service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity you order. A must if you are Venice.

The best seafood pasta I've ever had. Make sure to get reservations as they are usually full. Their recommendations on dishes were top notch.

everything was just perfect here

This was our favorite meal in Venice! The food was fabulous. We had bruschetta, grilled salmon, and arrabbiata, along with the house white and red wine. I made reservations a couple of months ahead and made sure to make the note that we wanted to sit on the terrace. It is a tight squeeze, but once seated, the view and experience are lovely. The staff were very attentive and friendly, even though we weren't directly accessible inside the restaurant like the other guests they constantly checked in. The price was extremely reasonable, no way you could get a meal like this in the United States at the same cost. I couldn't recommend a restaurant more!
