A romantic spot on the canal in San Polo with classic Venetian cuisine and excellent seafood, just a few minutes from the vaporetto and other great options for an aperitif and a drink afterward ;-) For New Year's Eve, we had a (naturally) slightly more expensive menu, but all the dishes were excellent. A definite recommendation!

The restaurant is located on a route frequented by many tourists. The menu is also available in several languages. Despite this, the service and quality are very high. Most of the seating is inside the restaurant, which has a pleasant atmosphere.

A very pleasant trattoria offering a fairly diverse menu of homemade dishes. The quality is excellent, both for fish and meat. The pasta is served al dente with a flavorful sauce. The portions are very generous. The tiramisu is superb, and we were even offered a complimentary limoncello. If there's one drawback, it would be the price, which is perhaps a little high, but far from outrageous.

The place looks very nice and cozy, perfect for a romantic date! And the waiters were very nice and the service here is top-tier. We reserved dinner for 9pm but we came a little earlier and since they didn't have an empty table (which is understandable because we came early) they kindly asked us to wait 10 mins and even gave us wine. And they did this to everyone who come early which is very sweet. Then we ordered our food. We got seafood and the dinner was very good. After the meal we got desserts (panna cotta and tiramisu) which were amazing and at the very end they gave us lemonchello on the house! It was a very good experience, I loved it and would recommend it to everyone!

We had a lovely dinner here without a reservation. Food and wine were delicious. I asked for a different type of pasta with my meal and they had no problems accomodating (thank you!)

16/02/2026: A cozy restaurant with standard prices, good quality food, a slightly dim atmosphere (best visited in winter), the service was quick and the waiters were friendly, special mention to one of them who could speak English, French, Spanish (and Italian of course).
14/02/2026: Arbi was an excellent server. We got into Venice late around 8 pm and it happened to be on Valentine’s Day so everywhere was busy. They got our family of four in with a smile. The food was great snc our server was fun and always smiling. Grazie for the great evening! Brava!!!

03/03/2026: We had a wonderful experience at Trattoria Da Gigio. The restaurant is very cozy, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. Everything felt authentic and prepared with care. The tiramisu was incredibly delicious — truly one of the best we’ve ever had. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return.
