If there is authentic Sicilian cuisine at all, it is here. Always full, and always full of warmth towards the “deliziosi turisti”. Also only 250 m away from the legendary Palazzo Palagonia.

Nothing...I came back here after 5 years...always the usual magical atmosphere of the Sicilian trattoria, like being at home! Excellent, traditional, safe, tasty food! Fast and friendly service like nowhere else now. A cannoli to remember. The only flaw, perhaps, is too much noise... even if it keeps you company!

We spent a wonderful evening with the family, enlivened by spectacular service (out of the ordinary friendliness and professionalism) in an authentic trattoria where it is possible to taste the traditional dishes of this part of Sicily. Those who criticize the absence of the written menu, the paper napkins and the homemade plating demonstrate that they don't even know where they are, that is, a trattoria founded in 1943 which, in a standardized world, retains its authenticity. Meat or fish doesn't change. Everything is delicious, but I wouldn't miss the beccafico sardines and the caponata.

Abbiamo trascorso una splendida serata in famiglia, allietati da un servizio spettacolare (simpatia e professionalità fuori dal comune) in un’autentica trattoria dove è possibile gustare i piatti della tradizione di questa parte di Sicilia. Chi critica l’assenza del menu scritto, i tovaglioli di carta e l’impiattamento casereccio, dimostra di non sapere neanche dove si trova, ossia una trattoria fondata nel 1943 che, in un mondo omologato, conserva la propria autenticità. Carne o pesce non cambia. Tutto squisito, ma non mi farei scappare le sarde a beccafico e la caponata.

Ero stata in questa trattoria da bambina, e pochi giorni fa alcuni amici mi hanno portata qui ancora. Cucina siciliana e personale gentile e sorridente. Rapidità nel servizio, solo una parola: eccellente

04/02/2025: Wide variety of pizzas that differ not only in the wide choice of ingredients, but also in the type of dough. In this pizzeria you can enjoy contemporary pizza, pan-style pizza and also the typical very thin Roman pizza. The place is not very large but there are many tables in the room and on Saturdays the feeling of chaos is felt. The pizzas are excellent both for the quality of the dough and the quality of the ingredients. The "Roman" pizza I chose, I would have liked it to have been crunchier. Service present but not intrusive. Desserts good too.

Trattoria ai Cascinari

01/02/2025: Delicious! Go there with your eyes closed. This family trattoria frequented by both locals and tourists is incredible. I had the squid ink pasta. Octopus with tomato and citrus sorbet. Everything was perfect. And very well presented. My friend from Catania also enjoyed it. Thanks again. (The little extra, menu in Italian, French and English)
27/01/2025: In decades of experience, I have never encountered a flaw in the quality, preparation and presentation of the dishes. Even though it is a trattoria, the attentive and fast service, with the right amount of friendliness, is of international restaurant level. Despite their continued success, they have never rested on their laurels, trying to maintain quality and creativity in the field of traditional Palermo cuisine, which is their "trademark".
