Don Camillo In Siracusa

What a place, what incredible wine, what a service. We brought our 6 month old baby, which is bold for a restaurant of this quality, but the staff was more than happy to welcome us. We had an amazing experience. The food is to die for - money well spent

This was one of the best meals of my life. We went for the Artimide (meat) tasting menu, with full wine pairing. The dishes were so creative and tender. I never knew it was even possible for lamb to taste so delicious. The staff were incredible, knowledgeable and very welcoming. This place is worth a detour, go visit.

We had a very pleasant evening at Don Camillo. We chose a set menu with matching wines. Each course was a taste experience. Depending on your personal taste, you'll naturally enjoy some more than others...but each course was exciting in its own way. The service was absolutely perfect. I've rarely experienced such a large number of waiters, each with their own specific responsibilities (someone for you, another explained the individual courses, others set us water and appropriate cutlery, etc.). As a special treat, the very personable chef personally came to each table and asked if everyone was satisfied with their meal. I personally don't expect something like that, but I'm still delighted by such a nice gesture. Overall, a big thank you to the entire team at Don Camillo. One more note: Of course, you'll pay more at this restaurant than perhaps at any other restaurant on Syracuse's tourist strip. But high-quality food has its price. My clear recommendation for anyone looking for a special evening.

I return every year and it is always a delicious experience. I returned two months ago and I still carry with me the very pleasant memory of exquisite dishes and a very professional and warm kindness at the same time. I confirm after many years what I already expressed in the previous review. A refined and familiar place at the same time, where tradition and innovation harmonize. Highly recommended.

One of the most memorable meals of my life. We did one of the tasting menus, and each course seemed to surpass the last. It’s pricey, but worth it. Very special place.

Most enjoyable meal I have had in Sicily! Great service, lovely atmosphere and staff, and the food…! Everyone was lovely to our baby daughter 💖 Highly recommend the boar ravioli! The pistachio chocolate desert was amazing but maybe best to share! Thank you for a great time!

I had been following chef Giovanni Guarneri for some time and was eager to try his cuisine. The tasting menu is very well structured. Simple and fascinating flavors at the same time. The exquisite and very well maintained space. I can only praise the service. Correct, professional, friendly, agile... Always a smile. I had a very good evening. I will repeat.

Elegant restaurant with a very refined atmosphere. The service is impeccable and the chef's hand is clearly visible in every course. A very interesting gastronomic journey. The wine list is incredible and the sommelier very helpful.

Desde el momento en que llegamos sabía que íbamos a tener una velada maravillosa. Un comedor muy bonito con mesas blancas bien espaciadas. El servicio fue impecable, amable, profesional y el gerente estaba muy bien informado sobre el menú. Hay varios menús degustación (: y ala carta ) y habiendo comido mucho marisco recientemente elegimos el menú de carnes. Todo estaba delicioso con carne de res, conejo y el plato de cordero más maravilloso. El postre fue pera escalfada rellena de un queso azul divino, que nunca olvidaré. Hay una selección de vinos muy amplia y el sumiller fue muy útil seleccionando la botella perfecta para nosotros. He estado en muchos restaurantes con estrellas Michelin, pero este es definitivamente uno de mis favoritos.

Potrei riassumere il tutto semplicemente scrivendo “Perfetto”, ma sarebbe riduttivo. Dom Camillo é un ristorante che frequentiamo sovente e giammai ha fatto registrare sbavature distrazioni, imperfezioni tanto da definirli dei “Marzia “. La Cucina é seguita personalmente dal padrone di casa Chef Giovanni Guarnire che dall’alto della sua maestria riesce sempre ad emozionarci come fosse la prima volta “ il primo bacio” Le pietanze proposte nella loro semplicità risultano sempre innovative, equilibrate ed eleganti al palato. Anche quest’anno per il cenone di capodanno é riuscito a proporre un menù straordinariamente pirotecnico. Il servizio di sala magistralmente diretto da Giuseppe é pressoché impeccabile, giammai invadente ma al contempo onnipresente. L’abbinamento dei vini é affidato al bravissimo Vincenzo, ottimo conoscitore della panoramica vinicole mondiale, con una passione frenate per il riesling, gli accostamenti proposti si rivelano sempre perfetti. Ma non é finita qui, perché ciò che lo rende indiscutibilmente il migliore di Siracusa e tra i top five della Sicilia oltre alla sontuosa cantina é l’atmosfera rilassante accogliente e premurosa che si respira. Impossibile consigliare dei piatti in particolare, perché ogni portata riesce ad emozionare il palato. Extraterrestri ❤️❤️❤️❤️
