Worth the experience. One of the best restaurants we've eaten at. Worth it!

First time at this place... is that true?!? 5 stars aren't enough! We highly recommend this restaurant... we ate fish, the entrée was truly spectacular, the gazpacio was a delicacy, along with the olive that isn't an olive, and the fishbone that will truly remain etched in your memory. The pairings and dishes were successful; I think innovation and tradition go hand in hand with a masterful balance. The tuna is truly special, but so is everything else. Compliments to the chef and all the staff... the Sicilian touch is clearly evident in the Sicilian cassata, excellent. Impeccable service and a good wine selection too. We'll definitely be back; for us, it's one of the best options in Parma. The only downside is the parking... you have to make do with your surroundings, but those few steps to get to your car after dinner will be more than welcome. 😉

Seafood restaurant in central Parma. Everything is fantastic, from appetizers to dessert. The display cases displaying the catch of the day are magnificent.

Very nice place, high-quality ingredients. The appetizers and pastries were excellent. I noticed a couple of dishes at the table containing unexpected ingredients, nothing special, but perhaps that should be clarified. The service was quick, perhaps a little intrusive, as we struggled to finish our conversation between interruptions.

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends, and although I had high expectations—thanks to its good reputation—I was only partially satisfied. The entrance is certainly spectacular: a refined atmosphere and a visual impact thanks to the refrigerated display cases displaying the fish. However, the table assigned to us (there were eight of us) was decidedly too small, even though it was in a private room. This was a detail I didn't appreciate and which affected the start of the dinner. The menu is inviting, and the wine list is extensive and well-structured, albeit with somewhat high markups. The dishes served were mixed: some were truly successful—special mention for the excellent tagliolini with spider crab—others, however, fell short of the restaurant's reputation. The plating is meticulously crafted and always spectacular; the entrée, in particular, is visually arresting, although not all the tastings were entirely convincing. The real disappointment came with the desserts: the selection was limited and, in my opinion, not up to the standard the restaurant aims to convey. I'd like to emphasize that our meal wasn't bad at all, but overall the experience didn't meet expectations. The service, however, was excellent: professional, attentive, and punctual. Finally, the bill was slightly high compared to the overall offering.

This evening we chose to try this restaurant, well-known in the area for its seafood (a rarity in these parts), which we'd always heard good things about.
The first and necessary premise is to say that this is certainly a high-end restaurant, offering refined dishes and a service characterized by the professionalism of its staff, but above all by a thoughtful approach to the experience it aims to offer. We were served a welcome entrée consisting of five "mini-courses," which the waiter carefully explained, including the recommended tasting order (pleasantly unexpected).
Next, we opted for the "Gran Crudo A...mare" for two, consisting of an oyster (we added one, and it's important to point out that before making the request, the waitress suggested we add one because it was the only ingredient that couldn't be "divisible"), amberjack tartare, meagre tartare, shrimp tartare, scampi, and red shrimp. All seasoned with oil and salt (perfectly measured) and accompanied by three reductions (lemon, orange, soy) that could easily have been omitted given the quality of the ingredients.
Now we come to the only sore point of the dinner: the first course, "Barracche 2.0," a fresh pasta with shrimp and sea urchins. The flavor is unquestionable, highly appreciable and very balanced, but the pasta is clearly flawed: very thin and lacking in texture, it tended to stick together and limit the creaminess of the sauce.
To accompany the dinner, an excellent sparkling Ribolla for €28 and, finally, two barrique grappas (Amarone grappa aged in rum barrels).
Total: €160 for two.
