Doma In Fano

Pizza discreta, non eccezionale, con mozzarella quasi inesistente. Prezzi elevati (la metà delle pizze costa dai 13 euro in su), servizio piuttosto lungo ( 1 ora e mezza per mangiare una pizza in due). Forse a Fano c'è di meglio

Let's start by saying that at the end of May they are already starting to play the game of booking on the two shifts, 7.30pm or 9.30pm, forcing you to dine either too early by eating in a hurry or too late especially for those with children. I call to book and they tell me they are full and by some miracle they find me a place for 3 people at 9pm. We arrive and the place inside was half empty and it remained that way until we left. So what's the point of considering a place full if in reality it isn't? Let's move on to the food: good pizza but not enough to make you say WOW, I would say normal, certainly not Gourmet, but absolutely overpriced. A capricciosa at 12.50 euros is too much. A first course with clams in a small quantity, just enough for my 9 year old son. I don't understand all this saving in quantity on such a cheap raw material as pasta. 1Kg of high quality pasta costs perhaps 2 euros, think for example 100g. The service is ok, everyone is kind. However, I don't think we will return.

This place is mainly a pizzeria, which however also offers a limited selection of first and second courses. I went there for dinner with some friends, and I had a carbonara pizza (my favorite). Of all the ones I've eaten so far in various places, this is the carbonara pizza with the flavor that comes closest to the real carbonara I ate in Rome. Almost identical. The pizza is very soft and has a thick crust. It's not greasy, and doesn't feel heavy on the stomach. The dessert I had was also good, a millefeuille with vanilla cream and salted caramel. Normal prices for the more classic pizzas, go up a little if you order the more "particular" pizzas instead. The only thing that was perhaps a little expensive was the carafe of beer at €11, perhaps better to opt for a bottled beer. Excellent place, I will return if I have the opportunity.

I discovered this little gourmet gem by chance!!! Excellent choice of medium-high quality wines!! Delicious food and attentive, professional service!! Highly recommended!
