17/08/2026: A very pleasant experience: excellent pizza and fair prices
We spent an evening at Mangianapoli on August 16th. The restaurant is charming, well-maintained, and perfectly air-conditioned, a key detail for enjoying dinner in the middle of August. Service was prompt, with friendly, attentive, and always helpful waitstaff; the lower crowds on a holiday evening certainly made the atmosphere even more relaxed, but the efficiency of the management is evident.
Pizza: The real star. The classic Napoli pizza was truly excellent, with a well-leavened, light dough and flavorful ingredients.
Appetizers: There's some room for improvement on the platter: the cheese selection could be a bit more sophisticated/premium, and instead of burrata-style mozzarella, if they'd brought a classic DOP buffalo mozzarella from Campania, nice and juicy, I think it would have enhanced the dish much more.
Desserts: We tried the BabàMisù. The dessert was well executed: my wife loved it, while I personally prefer the two separate preparations (classic baba or traditional tiramisu), options that the restaurant regularly offers on the menu.
Bill: Adequate and competitive, especially during a period when many restaurants are applying unjustified price increases. The quality-price ratio is top-notch.
Parking: Logistical note: finding a parking spot in the area remains quite difficult, even in mid-August. It's best to plan ahead.
Overall, a decidedly positive experience. We'll definitely be back to try other specialties on the menu. Recommended!
