Osteria Doge Morosini In Venezia

A very pleasant surprise. The waiters were very friendly. Unlike other places, we weren't rushed to eat. A nice bonus: they speak French. The price is very reasonable and cheaper than elsewhere. The Venetian calf's liver was perfectly cooked and the portion was more than generous. And the veal stew was a real success, almost like sweetbreads. But that's because the meat simmers for hours with vegetables. I highly recommend it.

We had dinner at this restaurant after a concert at the church. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. We ordered two main courses, which were both good. We also had two glasses of the house white wine, which was quite decent (dry white), good value for money. I'm surprised by the reviews I've seen.

We had a great time, the waiter, Hedi, had a great sense of humor, and the food was just perfect!! We highly recommend this place.

Food seemed tasty but lots of small flies in the restaurant disturbed me. I am worried I will be ill tonight.

Excellent food. The freshest of seafood. The grilled fish of the day was amazing. The pasta was delicious. I had the shrimp gnocchi. Super light and fluffy gnocchi. Tagliatelle bolognese was a great traditional pasta. Service is excellent.

We visited in November 2023 and had such a wonderful experience that I still think about it, almost 2 years later. What an impression! We ate so many things, but I can never forget the zuppa di pesce. When I have a last meal on this earth, I hope it’s the zuppa di pesce from this place. I ate before this dish and couldn’t finish an inch or so of broth at the bottom, and I’m still sad about that! 😂 Every piece of seafood, all different, was cooked perfectly 🤌 The broth was rich, red, hearty. There was so much flavor in that bowl, I can never forget it. Prices are fine, and the waiter, a tall, friendly man, was good humored and accommodating. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m hatching plans to return for more of that zuppa di pesce!

Really fresh seafood! We ate here during dinner time and we bought the seafood pasta and they were really good! My husband barely eats seafood but he ate the whole plate here. We also ordered tiramisu for dessert and it was amazing. I truly dont understand the bad reviews this restaurant has been getting. Totally recommend this place, love the food!
