Dogana, Hotel & Ristorante In Sirmione

I've been to the restaurant. Good atmosphere, friendly service, and the food was very good.

The Dogana Hotel has become our go-to place for weekend getaways. The very kind owners always make us feel at home and are able to accommodate any of our requests. The rooms are spacious and clean, and above all, the bed is incredibly comfortable. The breakfast is incredibly plentiful and rich, including local products. It offers everything from sweet and savory options to fruit, including honey and jams. The restaurant: we had the pizza, which was excellent, and we come whenever we can, even on Sundays, to enjoy excellent food or to celebrate our anniversary, as we have done in the past. The beautiful and spacious pool is an oasis of peace and relaxation. What more can I say? A huge thank you to the owners and all the staff, from us and our dog, Nuvola. See you soon 🙂

Hotel with comfortable air-conditioned rooms, bathroom of a good size, everything clean and tidy. The hotel has an excellent restaurant adjacent to the structure. There is also a swimming pool inside, all about a hundred meters from the lake. Possibility of bicycle rental. Kind and helpful staff. Recommended.

Everything is excellent, the room is clean and everything is here for short term stays. The breakfast is very good and has variety of foods. Big thanks for my espresso 🤎 Don’t stay in downtown too long, it’s not bus after 8:30 pm, but you can get Uber. Will definitely recommend that hotel.

A big thank you to Max and Raphaël for their exceptional welcome! From the moment we arrived, they were warm, helpful and really attentive. We even had a problem with the car, and they did not hesitate to contact a garage to help us. A service that really exceeded all expectations, even in difficult moments. The hotel is very pleasant, and the restaurant next door also deserves a nice 10/10! An excellent experience, both for the comfort and for the human quality of the staff. Thanks again!

It's just a shame that the elevator is so small to get in with a wheelchair.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating overall. Our room was an hour early ready for check in. We had a spacious room, although no mini fridge or small safe box. The transport is right outside the hotel so it was convenient to get by public transport. There is a mini market around the corner and Sermione is close by bike, or transport. The breakfast was lovely with a variety of food and drinks to try. I would recommend this hotel.

We spent a total of five nights at the Hotel Dogana. Room & Amenities The room was clean and large enough for two people. The bed and pillows were very comfortable – we slept well. However, some features were missing that would have made our stay more pleasant in midsummer: • No air conditioning: This would have been urgently needed in the high temperatures. • No refrigerator: A small refrigerator in the room would have been appreciated. • No German TV channels: This wasn't a problem for us, but it might be relevant for others. • Shower cubicle: Very small – absolutely unsuitable for overweight people. • On the last night, we also had problems with numerous mosquitoes, which disturbed our sleep. Overall, we were satisfied with the room, although there is room for improvement. Location & Mobility The hotel is conveniently located if you are traveling by car. Warning for cyclists: We strongly advise against cycling around Lake Garda. In some sections, you have to ride on busy roads – in our opinion, life-threatening. We therefore decided to take trips to Sirmione and the surrounding area by car – safer and more relaxing. We felt well looked after and thanked them with an appropriate tip at the end. Value for Money We paid €100 per night, including breakfast and tourist tax. Important: We booked directly through the hotel's website, which paid off in terms of price. ⸻ Conclusion: If you want a good, affordable stay on Lake Garda, the Hotel Dogana is the right place for you. Don't expect luxury, but in this price range, the hotel is highly recommended. We didn’t want to stay in a “hole” or experience a nasty surprise – and we were pleasantly surprised here.
