Divine Creazioni In Matera

We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance while looking for a place for lunch that wasn't in the tourist area. And luckily we found it. Rustic place, typical trattoria atmosphere, impeccable service. Umberto is a fantastic person who really knows what it means to seduce the customer by the throat. Fantastic pasta, excellent meats, good wine by the glass. We ate so well at lunch that we went back for dinner since we were in Matera only one day. Next time we'll come back

Siamo stati da Umberto su consiglio della nostra guida, alla ricerca di una cucina casalinga autentica, semplice e gustosa. Umberto, il padrone di casa, si occupa di tutto e ci ha guidati nella scelta dei piatti: orecchiette con cime di rapa e crosta di pane, e cavatelli con sugo di salsiccia e funghi. Porzioni abbondanti e prezzi davvero competitivi. Il locale è semplice, ma perfetto per una pausa genuina. Da non perdere il pasticciotto e il limoncello finale: davvero top!

A wonderful family run local restaurant. We had 4 different pasta dishes and all were excellent. The prices are very reasonable. Don’t miss the desserts!!! A chocolate lava cake and a warm white cake. Yum!!! We will be back!!!

Cibo lucano puro, semplice e gustoso! Lo consiglio perché qui si possono assaggiare i sapori tipici del luogo senza contaminazioni turistiche.
