Great experience! The fried foods and appetizers were delicious, as was the excellent pizza. The service was friendly and welcoming.

If you're looking for a REAL trattoria, you've tried it. Housed in a former highway service station, Gattarelli Antonio Bar Ristorante Tabacchi & Pizzeria "La Esso" offers excellent bar/tobacconist and restaurant services. Very popular, the restaurant has a dedicated entrance for bar and tobacconist, while the remaining area accommodates tables and a wood-fired pizza oven. The business is family-run, and the welcome is warm. They specialize in Roman cuisine and pizza. In both areas, they are second to none. The pizzas are extremely thin and delicious. I had spectacular fettuccine alla boscaiola. Ideal for a getaway out of town, it has a large parking lot that tends to fill up quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos.

I stopped here for lunch and they didn't disappoint. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were excellent, and the gratinated vegetables were wonderful. The only downside is the bathroom, which is outside the restaurant and everyone can use it (unfortunately, many of them are rude).

I ate excellent pizza and found the atmosphere simple and welcoming. A kindness rarely found these days.

Very "spartan," generous dishes (two of us ordered for one), trattoria-style as it should be. Friendly staff. Grilled chicken (two large pieces, but a single portion) was well cooked and not dry. Torta della nonna (grandmother's cake, I think), decent. Fettuccine with mushrooms (I think frozen) without much garlic, thank goodness. Overall rating: 6.5, 7.5 considering the location and value. Bill: €30.00 with 1.5 liters of water. Would I go back? Yes, I saw some really inviting pizzas (lunch, Sunday).

We visited this restaurant and had truly excellent carbonara and amatriciana! The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, the dishes are tasty, and the prices are fair. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. A truly delightful place, definitely recommended and one we'll gladly return to!

We've been there a few times after leaving the cemetery, and the food has always been good. Simple, Roman, or at least home-style, cuisine, without too many frills, and very affordable. I recommend it.

Recommended by a friend, it turned out to be a sought-after location with access only from a gated parking lot. We didn't eat. Perhaps a little pricey.

The pizza focaccia with raw ham and fried foods are as good as the tiramisu. Good prices. The pizza toppings are high-quality. The location, both inside and out, could be improved, and I also recommend more publicity. Kudos to the young lady who deserved the tip. I also found the other young man serving other tables to be quick and eager.

This is my first time at this pizzeria, accompanied by friends who already knew it. Typical Roman pizza, good fried food. Prices are reasonable, and the waitress was friendly. We hung out on the patio a lot, and the owners were very accommodating, let's put it that way. I live in the north, and every time I come home, I look for good pizza, and especially good fried food, which is a relatively unknown commodity in those parts. Five stars, if only for that.
