Enchanting refuge in the heart of the Varaita valley. The owners immediately made us feel at home. Excellent breakfast and dinner! A commendation for the attention to detail throughout the structure. We can't wait to go back!

Abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo fine settimana rilassante qui a Delfin dal Pianol, grazie all’accoglienza di Cinzia e alla bontà dei suoi piatti. Complimenti per l’impegno e la cura con cui è portata avanti la struttura. La camera grande e comoda e la posizione centrale rispetto alla valle ne fanno sicuramente un posto perfetto in cui tornare. Sicuramente consigliato!

We stayed in the refuge over the New Year period, there were 2 of us but the room was spacious and there was also a bunk bed so there were 4 beds. We chose half board with dinner. We ate well and the dinner was also very good also in terms of quantity, neither too little nor too much. Near the refuge there is also a car park (in a meadow). The road is a bit narrow at the end but only in the last 400 metres. If you want to book during long weekends or important holidays it is better to do it in advance because they only have 3 rooms.The owners are very kind people

The refuge is a real gem, cared for in every detail and surrounded by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is kind and attentive. The dishes are delicious, the ravioles are excellent. We can't wait to come back!

Chalet le Marmotte

28/09/2025: Typical mountain chalet. Wooden interior with a display of old skis hanging on the walls. Excellent food and very kind waitresses. I only had a plate of polenta and drank an excellent craft beer. I also found the coffee to be good and creamy.
28/09/2025: Finally, a REAL place like few others... We eat at large wooden tables, seated on benches, in a friendly atmosphere... no fuss, and home-cooked food... Homemade polenta. The real thing. Not the pre-cooked kind! Several sauces to choose from (sausages/tomatoes, leeks, gorgonzola, etc.), stew, escalopes, ravioli, etc. And for starters, great charcuterie and cheese platters. ..Excellent selection. Good wines. Homemade desserts. Everything that's going to waste these days... Accessible to people with reduced mobility, and dogs are welcome. A very pretty place with fresh air and a magnificent view. Very good atmosphere, although a little noisy... Important to book. We highly recommend...
