The place is Irish pub style (more or less and small). Only stopped for a coffee at the counter (so I can evaluate very little) but it deserves a review only for the fact that here, Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto had the inspiration to write "They killed Spider-Man"! We went there on purpose.

Returned to this place after a LONG time, decent choice of foods with interesting ingredients, but little choice of beers, a shame because it was once one of the strong points, average prices. The thing that definitely disappointed us was the attitude of the owner and/or manager, unwelcoming bordering on rude, a situation partially compensated by the waiter, welcoming and helpful. Precisely for this reason, as soon as we consumed it, we went out to end the evening in another place.

01/02/2025: Avevo cenato alla Vespolina all'incirca 10 anni fa e già mi ero trovata bene allora. L'ho riprovata questa sera e ho notato un notevole salto di qualità sia per quanto riguarda il locale in sé, sia per la qualità delle proposte del menú. Ho ordinato deliziose polpette di tonno, gustosi scialatielli al ragú e torta di pere e cioccolato, tutto lodevole. Ho avuto modo di assaggiare i mezzi paccheri con zucca e taleggio, un secondo piatto a base di vitello, e un semifreddo al cappuccino, eccellenti. Prezzi adeguati all'offerta, non costoso ingiustificatamente. Complimenti al gentile e professionale titolare che ha saputo ben consigliarci sulla scelta del vino e alla carinissima cameriera che ci ha servito con garbo e simpatia!
07/01/2025: Locale informale ed accogliente. Personale cortese ed attento, fa sentire a proprio agio i clienti. Proposta semplice ed originale, spicca la sapiente valorizzazione delle verdure. Carta dei vini ampia, spazia tra cantine note ed altre tutte da scoprire. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato!

27/02/2025: I have celiac disease and this place exceeded all expectations! The kindness and friendliness of the staff are nothing short of admirable. They created an entirely gluten-free menu, where even the other diners were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, an additional note of merit to the risotto with pumpkin, stracchino and amaretti, I think the best risotto I've ever eaten! The gluten-free puff pastry cake was a dream! Fresh and crunchy! Unfortunately I'm not from the area, but if I were to return to Pavia Locanda del Carmine would definitely be an unmissable stop!
13/02/2025: Excellent restaurant in the historic heart of Pavia. Quiet environment and dishes of remarkable taste and variety. Very pleasant presentation, polite and polite staff. Out of politeness I didn't photograph the dishes that deserved or a portrait at all
