It is located on the 7th floor of La Rinascemente. Their menu is vast and the paninis are good. Unfortunately it is usually too crowded and too noisy.

After a long day of touring, our hotel bar was too loud and smoky for us. We went across the street to La Rinascente and decided to eat at De Santis. Service was attentive. I enjoyed my Aperol Spritz. The Adam roast beef sandwich was delicious. The bread was light and flavorful, the beef was tender and the herb mayo was delicious.

Después de un largo día de gira, nuestro bar del hotel era demasiado ruidoso y ahumado para nosotros. Cruzamos la calle hasta La Rinascente y decidimos comer en De Santis. El servicio fue atento. Disfruté mi Aperol Spritz. El sándwich de carne asada Adam estaba delicioso. El pan era ligero y sabroso, la carne de res estaba tierna y la hierba mayo estaba deliciosa.

We had a salad and cheese plate , service was extremly slow, while tables were not all occupied. Not impressed having in mind where the place is in very posh shopping hub.

Delicious sandwiches! It's to eat and take away. Not the place for an after dinner conversation. Yes, it's an expensive place, but you should know that it's located on Rinascente. La Rinascente is an expensive place and is also located in the center of Milan. If you don't want to spend a lot, this is not the right place. There are other places nearby where you can get a sandwich for a cheaper price. But it's a good place if you're shopping there and you get hungry

Not a “wow fckn delicious” sandwich i’ve ever tasted But was delicious Very clean sandwich And i think is healthier The staffs were very kind and helpful The place was nice and elegant for a sandwich shop

Abbiamo preso dei panini da portar via. Servizio ottimo, con dei contenitori perfetti per il viaggio. I panini sono molto buoni e c’è una vasta scelta. Ottimo il panino Gilda con il roast-beef

19/06/2025: Very affordable, but noisy place. I highly recommend pinsa.
16/05/2025: If they asked me what I think of C’era una volta I would say that it is a bar with an excellent quality-price ratio that welcomes the needs of unimi students. But if they asked me after an exam or a crazy study session in the library I would say that it is the place where I take refuge all my disappointments, worries and feelings of inadequacy with respect to my university performance.

07/06/2025: Friendly and welcoming staff, great quality food and coffee, plenty of tables….even though it was fairly busy, service was quick and friendly.
14/05/2025: The piadina is made on the spot. In my opinion the dough is light and digestible. As soon as you enter you place your order with the man at the cash register (you have to ask for everything you want to eat, including dessert and coffee). You pay. With the receipt you go to the bar to collect the drink you have chosen. You wait at the table for your number to be called (you can read it on the receipt). At the end you return to the bar for the coffee, if you ordered it. So don't lose the receipt 😉. Fast and friendly staff. I recommend
