Lunch during a workday, fast service and very welcoming. The carbonara was beautifully seasoned, and the mezze maniche pasta brought out the flavors even more. Each bite was like mopping up the bacon, pecorino, and egg. I recommend it, even though I was hesitant about the homemade fettuccine with mussels and pecorino. Fast service, generous side of sautéed chicory with chili pepper, well done. Coffee and house amaro (Dar Bruttone). Fair prices, below average considering the location.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Dar Bruttone in Rome, and it was a fantastic experience! I tried the classic Carbonara, the Carbonara al Tartufo, and La Trippa – all of them were simply fantastic. The Carbonara was perfectly creamy, with a balanced flavor between pecorino and guanciale, while the truffle version added an extra touch of refinement. The Trippa was superbly prepared, tender, and aromatic – a true Roman experience. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made you feel immediately welcome. The staff took their time. An absolute must for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Roman cuisine. I highly recommend Dar Bruttone!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our host, and we were not disappointed! The dishes were delicious and plentiful. The staff was very welcoming, taking the time to advise us and explain the dishes. A special mention goes to Matteo, who took great care of us!

How amazingly lucky we were to find this excellent restaurant. We are from South Africa and have had a mixed bag of meals during our stay in Italy. At Dar Bruttone, which is not in the tourist area of Rome, the food and house wine was delicious and Marco and Tina provided top class, very friendly service throughout the meal, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. My partner and I highly recommended Dar Bruttone and we will return when we next visit Rome

We had the most delightful evening at Dar Bruttone! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Our waiter, Matteo, was absolutely lovely—attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the meal. He took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure everything was perfect. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was packed with authentic Italian flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. You could taste the quality in every bite. If you're looking for a spot that delivers both exceptional cuisine and heartfelt service, Dar Bruttone is it. We’ll absolutely be back—grazie, Matteo!

There was no bread on the table, there were three of us, and the dishes all arrived within 6-7 minutes of each other, none of the three of us at the same time. As for the service, the guys were absolutely friendly. My steak, which should have weighed 450 grams, probably was, but without exaggerating, 200 grams were fat, practically leaving almost half of it. As for the first courses, they were decent but not particularly impressive.

As always, they exceed my expectations. Yesterday I went with some Dutch friends, and besides the food being excellent, they were truly superb. We were sitting inside and they'd already brought us appetizers when the little daughter started crying; you realize that loud noises make her feel uncomfortable, and the voices and sounds inside echo a bit. They noticed the crying little girl and in a flash set up a table outside and moved everything. They make you feel better than at home. The new Gricia fig dish is top notch. I confirm what I said in my previous review. A truly beautiful place. You immediately feel at home. Excellent food quality and a wide selection, with a menu of traditional Roman cuisine, with a modern twist that doesn't hurt. The artichokes are truly delicious. 2019 Review: Exceptional cuisine.
