D'Angelo In Roma

Purely touristy, typical food. Nothing special ....

We went as a family of five. We ate very well on the terrace. The food was delicious. They don't charge a service charge (while most other places charge €2 per person). The waiters were very friendly and attentive, and we provided excellent service and advice.

Pizza tasted good, but the base was a terrible texture. Staff/service no good. Waited over half an hour just to pay bill as couldnt get anyones attention. Good location

So one late night we we're passing by and went in to grab some pizza to go, and while leaving caught a glimpse of some of the food people were having, looked good. So happy we were with the grab and go we came back the next day for dinner. It was only a while later as we were looking at the restaurant's reviews and laughing because the best meal we had in Rome was at a place we normally wouldn't go to because of the reviews. The food of Rome has disappointed us thus far but this place made a positive impression.

Despite reviews we all loved our food. Steak, pasta, excellent roast beef, 2 half bottles of wine, very reasonable priced. Sat looking at the Spanish Steps (anything closer is over priced) Ask about sides as not everything on the menu has them.

I stopped by to check displayed desserts. I chose it for takeaway. The lady at the counter packed everything carefully, like the most precious thing. I picked Cannoli and Aragostella (something like Sfogliatella) with Chantilly. I can’t tell which one was better! The Cannolis were as tasty as on Sicily. When I tried it, I was already on the other side of Rome so it was too late to take more for bringing home. Next time in Rome, it will be my stop for take a break after Piazza di Spagna.

The wrong food was brought, but even the right one was only average. Bread (without olive oil) costs extra and unfortunately tastes bad.

A cozy restaurant on a very picturesque street near Plaza de España. We ate on the terrace at D'Angelo and had a good overall experience. The food was delicious, and we found the prices reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area, which tend to be more expensive due to their downtown location. One thing to note: at the end of the bill, they charged us an extra 10% as a tip. Perhaps it was indicated on the menu, but I honestly didn't notice it at the time, and it wasn't mentioned when ordering or when the bill arrived.

Two experiences: The good: food at the counter! Reasonably priced, tasty and a great lunch option to eat back at the apartment. The bad: light morning breakfast at a table! Impatient service, overpriced soda, water, coffee. The food was ok with each experience.

I don't understand why the rating is so low. My friends and I came to Rome and ended up here for lunch as we were waiting to check into our apartments. There were 6 of us, we all ordered pasta and it was delicious! Everyone really liked the pasta, it was the best in 3 days in Rome! I dream of the opportunity to come here again. One friend had the pasta with vongole, she is still impressed, I highly recommend it! Delicious coffee, cocktails and desserts. Special thanks to the staff, they were very responsive, fast and caring. This is the only establishment where we were warned about things, and so that we kept them on the table, someone from the staff was constantly there to check if everything was okay. Also, as an indicator - the main customers are Italians, and I understand them very much! Great place!
