D'Angelo In Roma

A cozy restaurant on a very picturesque street near Plaza de España. We ate on the terrace at D'Angelo and had a good overall experience. The food was delicious, and we found the prices reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area, which tend to be more expensive due to their downtown location. One thing to note: at the end of the bill, they charged us an extra 10% as a tip. Perhaps it was indicated on the menu, but I honestly didn't notice it at the time, and it wasn't mentioned when ordering or when the bill arrived.

Two experiences: The good: food at the counter! Reasonably priced, tasty and a great lunch option to eat back at the apartment. The bad: light morning breakfast at a table! Impatient service, overpriced soda, water, coffee. The food was ok with each experience.

I don't understand why the rating is so low. My friends and I came to Rome and ended up here for lunch as we were waiting to check into our apartments. There were 6 of us, we all ordered pasta and it was delicious! Everyone really liked the pasta, it was the best in 3 days in Rome! I dream of the opportunity to come here again. One friend had the pasta with vongole, she is still impressed, I highly recommend it! Delicious coffee, cocktails and desserts. Special thanks to the staff, they were very responsive, fast and caring. This is the only establishment where we were warned about things, and so that we kept them on the table, someone from the staff was constantly there to check if everything was okay. Also, as an indicator - the main customers are Italians, and I understand them very much! Great place!

Some of the reviews scared us, but we ate very well (without taking water because I already know the price of water in Rome) and the service was pleasant and understanding of our lack of knowledge of the language; they spoke to us in English.

We had a croissant and coffee, it was quite tasty, the croissant had a lot of filling, but the price for the coffee... it's a tin, for a small cup of 150 ml the price is 5 euros

Highly recommended, if you come to Rome I recommend it, close to the pizza spagna, very nice staff, very good food

We decided to dine in at this restaurant with our family of 4. The service was mediocre, same with the food quality. What really brought down the rating here was the following. We ordered a Caesar salad for my daughter and the entire top layer was VERY heavily covered with dressing. Even after tossing the salad to mix, the greens were drenched with dressing, very unpleasant to eat. We asked the waiter to take it back and bring something else as this was not edible. He took it back, brought another plate and still charged for the salad that was returned back to the kitchen. I asked for the check to be updated (less the salad) and their response was it was impossible to do because the owner was not there. For that reason, the service is considered poor and deserving of a lower rating.

American Tourist. Had a wonderful lunch here waiting for our condo to open. Food was very good. Lasagna never disappoints.

It was spectacular. The food I ordered was pasta alla amatriciana, and it was incredible. Without a doubt, the best meal I've ever eaten there, and I still remember it as if it were yesterday. The plate was filling; we didn't have to wait long for the dishes to arrive even though there were 10 of us. Personally, I'd give it 5 stars, but the food served by some other guests at my table wasn't bad, but it wasn't as outstanding as my pasta dish, which my entire table loved. We also tried the carbonara, which was also delicious. You have to stop by this place and order this pasta. The service was very good, and the only bad thing was that a 1L bottle of water cost €7. The food wasn't expensive at all, but the drinks... what a rip-off, but hey, it's worth it.

We stopped at this restaurant because at first the prices on the menu looked reasonable, but the drinks were not listed in the menu. So we only ordered 2 bottles of coca cola without knowing the price. After payment we found out, it was 5 euros per bottle. We also ordered a pizza margarita, which was quite good.
