Dal Tato In Menaggio

The food was quite good, but nothing special. The restaurant is indoors with a enclosed balcony. The staff was a bit dull.

Delicious food, attentive service and a lovely view over Lake Como. The seafood antipasto was a highlight.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right. The restaurant thrives on the view.

Very nice view of the lake, although you have to book a table because there are only two by the window, the food is simply nothing special, although for this price you can eat much better

The view alone would have earned us 5 stars - thanks to the staff for seating us near the bay overlooking the lake. The butter-sage-breqaola-cheese ravioli and the fried lake fish were also top-notch.

I cannot understand the poor reviews. We stayed in Lake Como for a week and ate at this restaurant ( along with many others in Menaggio) on four separate occasions both lunch and dinner and can honestly say, the food and service were some of the best in Menaggio. For someone who is retired and eaten in many restaurants throughout the world, there is always a good way of determining the quality of a restaurant, and that's by how they cook calamari - this place served excellent calamari, with a crispy batter and melt in the mouth squid, definitely not overcooked and like a rubber band! The fillet steak with peppercorn sauce was cooked to perfection, and was also, melt in the mouth. My wife had the risotto with perch (a local dish) and the risotto was perfectly cooked. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for a great lunch or dinner. Can't wait to go back.

Couldnt get any ferry tickets to Bellagio on a busy Sunday, so instead we took a bus from Como to Menaggio! Arrived at the bus stop and Tato is just 50m beside it, Perfect view from the restaurant, Orderd Calamari, crispy and fresh light battered, with garlic aioli cream for a great start. Next the Linguine alle Vongole is absolutely scrumptious, a beautifully emulsified sea aroma clam sauce with parsley and lots of clam! Enjoyed it with their moscasto and it is delizioso!

Sono venuto a mangiare in questo ristorante a Menaggio un paio di volte. La terrazza molto carina, l'ottimo cibo e il servizio impeccabile, consigliatissimo!
