The food was good, we took a platter and some cakes, excellent. Better than other places. The service so-so. It was Easter Monday and there were people, but rushing the tables and asking them to be vacated at a certain time is not for me.

Extremely friendly environment, quality food and wine, regular portions, reasonable prices! Worth a visit!

A walk down the central street on a winter’s day revealed this restaurant was full and most others empty. The food is certainly excellent, impressing both foreign visitors and Italians alike. The menu is Tuscan rather than Umbrian. Trina said it was the best pici all’aglione she’d enjoyed to date. Catia loved the beans and sausage. I liked the cinghiale in umido. The servings are good too. While prices might seem highish, the answer is to share an antipasto and then choose a second dish each. The tagliere boards all looked amazing and huge. Similarly the coccio di fegatini (cooked liver pate). The resulting meal is first rate and satisfying. It must also appeal to families since about half the tables involved family groups. I can see the scope for some visitors to quibble. The delivery is slow (generally a good sign, not a bad sign, since it means the chef is taking the role seriously). The place did not feel, to me, super cosy for winter; rather a little on the Spartan side. And I always prefer places which don’t measure out drinks too precisely (like some nameless countries to the north). In conclusion this is a first class restaurant and a great first choice if you are visiting this small but beautiful town with gorgeous views across the lake and surrounding countryside.

Posto assolutamente da provare e dove torneremo spero presto. Personale splendido e un grazie particolare alla bellissima Emy, che ci ha saputo consigliare con professionalità e onestà. Tutte le portate, dagli antipasti al caffè, erano di qualità veramente elevata, fresco gustosi e cotti alla perfezione.. Il locale è accogliente e arredato in modo originale. Bravi bravi bravi.

Absolutely a place to try and where we will return hopefully soon. Splendid staff and a special thanks to the beautiful Emy, who was able to advise us with professionalism and honesty. All The courses, from the appetizers to the coffee, were of truly high quality. The room is welcoming and furnished in an original way. Well done, good, good.

Lunch to remember, unique kindness to return

Place located in Castiglione del Lago, not very large so I recommend booking in advance, but even though they were full they managed to find us a place even without reservations. We took a platter of cold cuts which was good, a fondue with croutons which was very good and the torte al testo with finocchiona and cheese was also very good. The stew is also good, service carried out correctly and prices right

Ci è piaciuto tanto. Mangiato benissimo (polpette 💯, patè di fegato 💗, cinghiale 🔝...) ,prezzi onesti, personale gentile,locale accogliente e si è in pieno centro a castiglione. Assolutamente consigliato!
