Family-run restaurant serving authentic Eritrean food, one of my favorite places in Bergamo. A pleasant yet intimate atmosphere, delicious and well-balanced dishes, both in terms of flavor and quantity, and a friendly staff who's always available to answer any questions. Highly recommended for anyone, the wide variety of dishes makes this restaurant accessible even to those who might be hesitant about its ethnic cuisine. I can assure you, you'll always find something you'll love. So don't feel intimidated and definitely go and try this gem of a restaurant—really, really recommended!

Absolutely incredible in every way! We turned up without a booking (rookie mistake) and we were fortunate enough to get their 1 free table! Book in advance so as not to be disappointed. To start we had the sambusa and tamia veg with hummus and berbere - simply delicious. For main we shared the enjera meat combo and it was just incredible. Then, to help with digestion a herbal tea which tasted like Christmas in a cup! This family run business is an absolute must in Bergamo! If we could give more than 5* then we absolutely would - exceptional.

The main reason I return to Bergamo from Como is the amazing food and the incredibly kind and friendly owners and staff. I'll definitely be back again and again, see you soon!

A welcoming and tidy family-run atmosphere. Delicious food, with several vegetarian and vegan options. After the meal, they recommend a herbal tea to aid digestion, which is very good. I'll gladly return. Plenty of parking nearby, easily accessible by public transportation.

A fantastic and welcoming family-run restaurant that transports you to a world of spicy flavors waiting to be discovered. You'll find both spicy meat dishes, best enjoyed wrapped in traditional bread, and delicious all-vegetarian options. Besides the truly delicious food, I recommend it for the warm and welcoming atmosphere. And don't forget, the traditional herbal tea at the end of the meal is a must!

Wow so glad I found Dahlak but disappointed I didn't find it until my last night. We ate from the stall they had at the international food festival and myself and my partner (non vegan) food was fantastic and so tasty. They had 3 vegan options on the stall and an appetiser. Thank you Dahlak! Didn't take any pictures as we were enjoying the food too much! Super friendly and helpful staff too ⭐️

01/11/2025: A charming, spacious, and hygienic place with a view of the Orobic Alps. Today, when we had lunch, cows appeared in the meadows, visible from the large, sealed glass verandas. During the summer, large outdoor terraces are available with a view of the surrounding green mountain landscape. For those who enjoy hiking, there are many walks, including the Capanna refuge at 1,969 meters on the southern slope of Pizzo Arera. Try the Taragna polenta with melted cheese, the mixed grill with polenta, or the imaginative, top-quality pizzas. The wine list is excellent, well-known, and the price is truly attractive. Local cheeses and other local products are available for purchase. Bar service is also available. The wait staff is top-notch, very kind, and ready to offer interesting suggestions. Wait times are short and average, and parking is ample and convenient. Recommended.
29/09/2025: So many stars...the location, the order, the cleanliness, the extraordinary 360° view, and, of course, undoubtedly, having enjoyed it on a motorcycle ride on a MONDAY. A few quiet patrons (!!!), a full "tasting" of a super-friendly welcome, excellent service, and, last but not least, truly excellent cuisine. It was a beautiful day (a few fluffy clouds and 18°C), but we planned to dine inside; it makes you think about the season when they use tables with a view on their various terraces. Absolutely wonderful. Well done!
