Today to celebrate our birthdays we thought about returning to Valerio's restaurant and like the previous times we were NOT disappointed at all. The place is
quaint, cute, it feels like being in a fortress. Followed and pampered by the waiter Stefano, the food, what can I say, the pappardelle with venison exceptional, the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms excellent... with porcini mushrooms, the second courses also excellent and everything plentiful as well as the desserts.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Uno dei pochi locali aperti di lunedì a pranzo. Situato davanti alla bellissima Abbazzia di S Nilo. Cucina tipicamente romana.Abbiamo iniziato con il fritto: suppli crocchette, fiore di zucca, olive all'ascolana e carciofi. A seguire carbonara, abbacchio scottadito e cicoria. Per l'abbondanza dei piatti pur avendo preso una porzione in due, non siamo riusciti ad ordinare are il dolce. Tutto buonissimo anche il caffè! Consigliato.

qualità prezzo è buono; abbiamo apprezzato i piatti scelti.
coperto: 2,50€ è un furto. il costo delle pietanze non giustifica affatto questo extra.
focaccia fichi e prosciutto: molto buona e gustosa. prosciutto tagliato a mano. cara ma ci può stare.
pizza porcini e bufala: molto buona, di grandi dimensioni. impasto leggero, condimento generoso.
tagliolini limone: molto buoni. pasta cotta bene, condimento generoso, quantità adeguata.
strozzapreti provola speck: 3/5 senza infamia e senza lode.
birra alla spina solo weiss.

There is no doubt that at Valerio's in Grottaferrata you eat super well! As for the quantity on the plates, they could be a little more generous, given the prices they charge! However, I wanted to report the cost of the house red wine which, for a litre, they charge €10!! The house wine, also very light, almost at the level of Tavernello? €10??
Nowadays at Valerio's a Margherita pizza doesn't cost less than €10, here in Italy which is the homeland of pizza?? LOWER YOUR PRICES, PLEASE, otherwise you could find yourself without a customer anymore!!
I returned after many months: I confirm that the food at Valerio's is very good but the prices are always very expensive
