Da Umberto In Otranto

Siamo tornati dopo un pò di anni in questo Ristorante, sperando che avessero cambiato la loro politica, in relazione a prezzi e quantità delle loro pietanze e...invece siamo stati disillusi. Il pesce è fresco e ben cotto, ma pagare ben 42 euro per un vassoio (proposto per due persone)contenente cozze mollicate, una sola capesante, due scampi, una striscia di totano, un tentacolo di polpo e un piccolo pezzo di pesce ci è parso davvero esagerato!!!! Anche le altre proposte in menù avevano prezzi assai alti. Per questa cena, con l'aggiunta di un antipasto di frittura e di una insalata di mare, abbiamo speso oltre 100 euro in coppia. E ciò che è peggio siamo andati via ....non sazi. Inoltre, si mangia in estate in uno spiazzo esterno, contiguo al parcheggio macchine, che certamente non è il massimo del confort. Ultima volta che veniamo da Umberto.

Bellissima location, molto curata. Pesce davvero fresco. Il titolare gentilissimo e prodigo di consigli. Ho mangiato una aragosta spaziale... Prezzi assolutamente corretti per qualità e servizio. Ci siamo stati due sere e diventerà tappa fissa

It has been our favorite restaurant for over 10 years when we come here in Puglia to Torre dell'Orso. Excellent food, service, kindness and a very welcoming environment.

Very nice restaurant and relaxing atmosphere. Good and quality food. Courteous and smiling staff. The bill is a little pricey in my opinion, but you pay for the place and the quality. The only flaw despite the kindness of the staff is the service. For what we paid it didn't seem up to par. We can do better.

Be sure to reserve in advance in high season! We had a great dinner!

A place that uses quality raw materials and, therefore, has great potential. Unfortunately, last Saturday, July 20th, the service faltered: with just 35 seats it is incomprehensible and unacceptable that customers and the dishes they ordered were forgotten. The tuna steak was served to me 40 minutes after the starter, without the condiments (asked to the waiter) and without even a wedge of lemon. Dear restaurateurs, it's the details that make the difference; we felt like second class customers and therefore disappointed.

We had dinner at Umberto which is a lovely family run restaurant. We enjoyed some excellent fish dishes and the quality was sublime. Everything was excellent, the trained and friendly staff pampered us and accompanied us throughout the dinner. The desserts are absolutely delicious and these too are home-made and of excellent quality. It is definitely a place to include in your itinerary if you are on holiday in Puglia, and to return to whenever you can if you are from Puglia. Congratulations to the owners and all the staff.

We ate very tasty food. My highlight was the seafood linguine. The price is completely reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the seafood. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. I can fully recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommended. Delightful place, lovingly cared for by their obsessive owners, you can see it and feel it! in the choice of raw materials. Tasty and tasty dishes, portions in line with the Apulian reputation, and a great desire to make people experience pleasure in what they serve. Very welcoming external summer veranda, in the months or on cooler days large room with well-kept interiors in typical farmhouse style. If in draws I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Optimal.
