It's a tough walk to the restaurant but it's worth every drop of sweat. The welcome is very warm. The atmosphere is casual, Capri meets Costa Rica. We took the vegetarian menu with matched wines. Very tasty dishes with a unique touch. And the wines... it quickly became clear that a top sommelier is at work here. Let yourself be guided and be sure to visit the beautiful wine cellar. We finished with a grappa…choice from 200 varieties! The sommelier again took his time to help us make the right choice.
And then came another surprise…the price. By Capri standards it's not expensive.
We will definitely come back.

Simply amazing! Off the beaten path romantic restaurant with traditional Italian food, but with a modern twist thanks to their Peruvian sous chief. The service was impeccable. We shared most dishes and the kitchen portioned it into two separate plates. Lots of little thoughtful details like that, bread tasting, complimentary amuse-bouche, and providing cool towels after our walk to the restaurant. Highly Recommend.

Every time we come to Capri, and it's been 10 years now, we spend one of our evenings at Tonino's. It has never disappointed us for 10 years, in fact it is always better. For us it is a restaurant that deserves 2 Michelin stars and I will list the reasons: excellent chef, excellent dishes, trained staff, attentive to customer care, elegant and well-kept location, even the bathrooms include everything, incredible wine cellar. OUTSTANDING. This place will get a Michelin star. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. Easily a top meal in the entire country of Italy. Ingredients are very high-quality, the cooking technique is solid and well executed, and the staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the restaurant.

Da Tonino is exceptional. My girlfriend’s and my dining experience at Da Tonino was outstanding . The food was superb. The chef coursed out the tasting menu. The food was inspired, balanced and packed with flavor. The meal was made complete with the help of the sommelier. His wine pairings were out of this world. He is truly a genius, and I got to reap the benefits by exploring and tasting remarkable wines. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming.
Overall, the evening was the highlight of our trip. If I had a trip, even brief, to Capri, it will not be complete without a dining experience at Da Tonino.

It is such a joy to find a real gem on an island full of fabulous restaurants. The food, the service, and even the walk there was wonderful. A place where the staff truly cares and it shows in all the dishes. Do make it here when in Capri.

Nowhere in Italy is being a vegetarian a challenge, but here it is a JOY!
High Points: bread choices, oil flavor, wine sommelier who wrote the book you use to choose; desserts from chef, open kitchen, ambience, location
Unique Points: someone asked for a salad and chef went into garden to choose the freshest stuff from right there; very farm to table restaurant, history of the place, Michelin, the staff, the pride, the maitre, the amuse bouche starters with incredible Italian local presentation but Thomas Keller worthy edible cones and more!; the to-go cookies served on a chocolate Mouse; the incredibly fresh sourced risotto; nut pasta, and quite simply the most creative "Eggplant Parmigiana" ever!

Come da titolo. Non semplicissimo da raggiungere ( comunque fattibile senza essere degli scalatori ). Buona la fase di prenotazione ed accoglienza.
Sala in parte al chiuso ed in parte semi aperta.
Menù interessante e vario. Piatti e pietanze non scontate ... certo il tutto basato sulle basi della trdizione locale/campana. Ottima la materia prima. Validi gli accostamenti e la presentazioni dei piatti.
Servizio adeguato.
Prezzo adeguato ... oserei dire quasi buono ( pensando a certi conti esosi ed imotivati del centro Capri )
Una bella esperienza , una valida alternativa ai soliti e scontati noti ristotanti locali, che consiglio a viaggiatori ed esperti culinari "motivati" :)))
