Mix of very well assorted starters, tender and tasty roast suckling pig. The roasted potatoes are also very good. We were already too full to even try the desserts. Prices appropriate to quality and goodness. Advised

Magliano in Toscana is in the heart of the Grosseto Maremma, and this is a long-standing trattoria with solid principles: traditional cuisine, good and simple, with suitable portions. And so it has remained, even today. In the center of the town, Corso Garibaldi, which means parking the car in one of the many free car parks and walking for a short walk, in the restricted traffic zone. Terracotta floor, ceiling with exposed beams. Courteous and precise service, trattoria prices, that is, cheap, even for the wines (and it is becoming an exception, I say this as a wine wholesaler...). Morellino obviously reigns supreme, but the choice is more than sufficient for the type of venue.

Informal dinner highly approved. Simple cuisine, but still very tasty with traditional Tuscan dishes. Great price, very friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the areas.

Nice place with outdoor tables along the pedestrian street... we ate well and the service was appreciable. The mixed house starter is a complete meal... after that you can move on to dessert...

Restaurant on the main street of Magliano in Toscana with excellent Maremma cuisine. We tasted super eggs and porcini mushrooms and a top-notch Florentine steak. A place not to be missed, we will be back!!

Cucina buonissima , antipasto con salumi toscani buoni , pappardelle al cinghiale eccezionali, e una tagliata di carne morbida e cotta al punto giusto. Da ritornare sicuramente. Saluti da caserta

04/11/2024: I can "understand" the negative reviews because it is clearly not a place for everyone, including me. But precisely because it is clearly not a place that focuses on quantity but on quality these do not make sense. First of all, it is not easy to reach but that alone makes it, in my opinion, a characteristic place like Sorano. Just as the place is characteristic and fascinating. The food is not commercial or refined but traditional, local and revisited, something which, as mentioned before, may not please everyone but I think that is not their aim, their aim is to make you discover new flavors or perhaps it would be better to say rediscover . I would also say a word about the wine list but, again as stated, it is not a place even for me who am absolutely not an expert. The person who served us was very kind, who I believe was the owner, who for a small oversight offered a glass of fine wine to a table... but, I tell this to underline that it is not a place for everyone, he probably must have regretted it when he saw it stay in the glasses :'(

31/12/2024: Yet another confirmation of the quality and tradition that this place offers. The food is always excellent, with generous portions and very high quality ingredients. The managers stand out for their attention and care towards the customer, making each visit a pleasant experience. Even though it was December 30th and there was an event in town, the place was crowded but perfectly managed, without ever creating chaos. A welcoming and well-organised environment. Highly recommended!
27/12/2024: My girlfriend and I stayed in Santa Fiora for 4 days between Christmas and New Year with the idea of ​​trying out the different restaurants in the town. The first evening I came across "Il Barilotto" and the food was so good that we ended up having dinner here every evening to try the whole menu. All truly exquisite and absolutely acceptable prices. The guys who serve in the room are uniquely friendly. You guys are number one! I hope to return soon.
