Excellent grilled meat, pork and beef.

The food was good, although the crescentine were a bit bland. One of the waitresses was particularly rude. Overall, a decent experience.

We had lunch, and it confirmed the reviews we'd read online. Both the Tuscan coccoli (the name escapes me now) and the first courses we tried were excellent. We'll be back.

I booked here based on feedback and because the place I'd previously chosen was closed for vacation. In Riola, near Rocchetta Mattei, there are two options to choose from. If you want to move and the lunch time isn't a problem, there's a wider choice, albeit with higher prices and choices. Let's start with the first courses, especially the tortelloni, which, while good but not particularly tasty, came on a large plate, serving five, which was decidedly too small for the price and the visual impact. Other types of pasta were more appropriate in terms of quantity and flavor. For the second course, we had the fried crescentine and cured meats, which were very good and the quantity adequate for the price. The place is definitely from the '70s and has undergone several renovations, and the style is somewhat confusing and didn't seem welcoming. In any case, it was clean and tidy, with paper napkins and tablecloths on the tables. A certain background noise due to the number of people and size, and in the winter months due to the fan heaters. A venue like this in the Apennines, with a few rustic and perhaps vintage touches, could create more atmosphere. Ironically, given its location within the sports center, it could be renovated with a decidedly more modern feel. Convenient and spacious parking is available, with easy access. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness are definitely a positive starting point for further improvements.

Crescentine okay First courses so-so

After Aalto's church in Riola, it's hard to find anything up to par, but a tip comes from a fan of this great architect... "go to Rotilio!" Better advice never! A phone call to make a reservation and you're at your table in 5 minutes. From the outside, it looks like one of those rustic trattorias near the Reno River for fishermen and tourists; in reality, the place is spacious, with friendly staff and a blackboard with the daily specials that is confusing: snails, espanadas and golden fried frogs... not a bad calling card. Looking at the menu, the menu is much more in line with the location: homemade pasta, cured meats and cheeses, and meat. We start with crescentine with cured meats and cheeses, gramigna with sausage, creamy fettuccine with ham, tortelloni speck and gorgonzola, coffee and to wash it down, a barrel-aged grappa that, tipping in a giant bottle, arrives in the glasses along with two biscuits. At the register they ask us €92. very honest and we give them to him happy and contented, at the end of a memorable trip.
