Nice experience, in a place, with attention to local values

We had been to this place a while ago and liked it. We returned and had an equally good time. Very good food, simple and tasty, and really welcoming staff. We will be back for sure.

In occasione di una giornata alla Santissima trinità scendendo dal santuario abbiamo pensato di pranzare Da Romano situato poco distante, con ingresso da una tipica piazzetta di paese. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti del menù proposto con piatti tipici della zona. Antipasto della casa ricco di salumi e formaggi dai sapori eccezionali, come primo suggerisco la lasagna della nonna (così gentili anche da offrire un bis!) e strangozzi ai funghi porcini....ottimi! Di secondo abbiamo un po' esagerato prendendo una tagliata di manzo con rucola a corredo, un ottimo abbacchio allo scottadito ed essendo in due abbiamo preso anche un terzo secondo, curiosi nell'assaggiarla, una mozzarella di bufala in piastra con alici. Contorni parete novelle al forno e "fagioloni" con cipolla (fiore all'occhiello di Vallepietra, presentati anche all'Expo). Per finire tiramisù fatto in casa, caffè e ammazzacaffè produzione propria! ...una genziana spettacolare tanto che ci ha convinto di ritornare il primo pomeriggio per fare un altro giro! .... Veramente tutto molto buono, ci ritorneremo e complimenti a tutto lo staff! Mauro e Daniela

On the occasion of a day at the Santissima Trinità, coming down from the sanctuary, we decided to have lunch at Da Romano located not far away, with entrance from a typical village square. We were very satisfied with the menu offered with typical dishes of the area. Homemade appetizer rich in cured meats and cheeses with exceptional flavours, as a first course I suggest grandma's lasagna (kind enough to even offer an encore!) and strangozzi with porcini mushrooms...excellent! For the second course we exaggerated a bit by taking a sliced ​​beef with rocket salad, an excellent lamb with grilled lamb and since there were two of us we also took a third second course, curious to taste it, a grilled buffalo mozzarella with anchovies. Side dishes: baked new potatoes and "beans" with onion (Vallepietra's flagship, also presented at the Expo). To finish, homemade tiramisu, coffee and own-produced ammazzacaffè! ...a spectacular gentian, so much so that it convinced us to return in the early afternoon for another tour! .... Excellent restaurant, quality menu oriented towards home cooking, abundant dishes and wide choice, very clean, convenient and friendly place, sincerely recommended.
