Excellent dinner, traditional, authentic. I had the cappelletti in broth with Lambrusco. It was very much appreciated! Next up was the roast meats cart, well-stocked and beautifully served. The dessert cart was also lovely! I will definitely be back, especially for the excellent value. The wine list is very varied, featuring wines from the Reggio Emilia province. The waiters are very friendly!!

When you enter this restaurant, you can feel the history echoed by the walls and tables: an atmosphere of times gone by, ancient splendor, dishes as they once were. The staff is courteous, the roasts are highly recommended, and their presentation is spectacular. As for the first course, I wouldn't give it five stars: it was just average. The soffritto had way too much tomato, and the other flavors couldn't be tasted. A family-friendly place with a warm atmosphere.

Great trattoria with local specialties! We stayed overnight nearby on our way to Germany and discovered this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and engaging. Highly recommended even for guests without Italian skills who are keen on regional cuisine. Even on a Wednesday evening, every table was full; reservations are recommended and can be easily made via WhatsApp. Thank you for a wonderful evening and keep up the great support!

Per gli amanti della cucina tipica reggiana o per i turisti che si trovano a visitare la città di Reggio Emilia, consiglio assolutamente una sosta mangereccia in questo ristorante -trattoria da urlo.Consigliato anche da varie riviste e guide culinarie tra cui la guida Michelin, la trattoria da Probo è un luogo assolutamente carino e accogliente in cui gustare meravigliosi cappelletti alla panna e pepe, tortelli, ecc...Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è buono.Il piatto forte è il carrello dei bolliti e purè

Arnaldo - Clinica Gastronomica

11/11/2025: I could basically replicate Mr. Tiziano's review from a month ago... it's part of the service that took 22 minutes before anyone asked us if we wanted the wine list and what we'd like to eat. Of everything served, I found the mortadella and the filling very good, the spugnolata memorable, and the beef amazing even though its appearance would have led one to believe otherwise. Everything else wasn't exciting, including the erbazzone with filling, which is delicious, but the pasta used to make it was dry and tasteless... obviously, eating badly is a whole other story, but honestly, I don't think I'd return. On a positive note, the wine list is practically like the Divine Comedy, and the prices seemed very fair to me.
08/11/2025: Italy's first Michelin star!! Fantastic tortellini, excellent boiled meats, and an incredible wine list!!
