Ero già stata in questa trattoria due anni fa e sono tornata molto volentieri. L'atmosfera è quella tipica dei locali frequentati da turisti ma anche dai romani, cibo tipico della tradizione di buona qualità e in quantità abbondante, personale cordiale e professionale, prezzi nella media. Vicino alle principali attrazioni di Roma, a pochi passi da piazza di Spagna... ci tornerò sicuramente al mio prossimo viaggio nella Capitale

Superb little trattoria, tucked away from the main road but with excellent food and service nonetheless. The place came recommended to us by our hotel concierge and it seems from the reviews to be quite the popular spot. From our experience it was clear why - brilliant, tasty and authentic Italian food (we had the salmon pasta and ossobuco) and the service was very. The waiter recommended a Lazio wine rather than the chianti I'd picked, which was a revelation. Very good price wise too - much recommended and one to return to if I'm ever fortunate enough to be in Rome again. Tip - book or get there early. It's popular - we returned the following night to see people queuing in the street to get in.

Found by fleeing from the crowds and environments focused on tourists, and rightly so. Local, quality food with local diners, the best tiramisu I tried in Rome. Moderate prices, generous portions, and good service.

05/04/2025: Great experience Sunday lunch. Fast service, tonnarelli cacio e pepe top. Also the punatrelle made very well and the spectacular suckling pig.

27/03/2025: Excellent trattoria with authentic traditional Roman dishes. Everything was delicious. We had coda alla vaccinara, puntarelle, artichokes alla romana, the inevitable rigatoni alla carbonara and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. There are still so many things that I want to try next time 😊 I highly recommend it
25/03/2025: So, what happened was that we initially planned to go to a popular restaurant recommended by foodie friends. However, the waiter there had a rather unfriendly attitude, and we didn’t feel like staying. We wandered through the narrow streets of Rome for a while and stumbled upon la Campana - the best thing that could have happened to us! A truly authentic, old-school Italian restaurant. We ordered fresh truffle pasta, tiramisu, and wine, and everything tasted absolutely amazing. We got exactly the genuine Italian restaurant and food experience we were looking for!
