Strolling around Acqui and looking for a place to eat something Piedmontese, our choice for dinner finally fell on this small restaurant in the heart of the historic center. We were also lucky because we didn't have a reservation. First we had two delicious Fassona steaks covered in Parmesan, then a plate of ravioli del plin with roast sauce and one of tagliolini with duck ragu. Everything was very good and the portions were decent. To wash it all down, we had two bottled beers. The staff were quick and very courteous, and the bathroom was in perfect condition. Bread and cover charge were €2.50, for a final bill of €68, as per the receipt. Recommended.

A good trattoria with local dishes.

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends, thanks to the recommendation of a friend in the group. We went exclusively for mushrooms, and saying that everything was excellent doesn't do justice to what they served us. We left the restaurant enthusiastic about both the dishes and the super-friendly wait staff and owner. Amazing dishes where mushrooms reigned supreme, with excellent pairings from the mushroom and parmesan salad to the homemade tagliolini, also with mushrooms, and finally fried mushrooms. To finish the meal, an excellent dessert. The price was adequate for what they served us.

Tasty dishes, kind and impeccable service

As soon as you enter, you immediately feel the authentic Italian atmosphere. Not only the ambiance, but also the cuisine is authentically Piedmontese/Italian. There's an extensive wine list and friendly service.

We had a great time, the service was efficient, the staff was welcoming and friendly. The dishes were very good in their simplicity.

Excellent restaurant! I recommend it to anyone passing through Acqui Terme. We ate really well ☺️ The fried porcini mushrooms and tagliolini are a must-try! We'll be back :)

Highly recommended! A small restaurant in the spa town's historic center, all stone, welcoming, and clean. The menu features typical local dishes, expertly prepared with excellent ingredients; everything is homemade, and you can taste it. Portions are generous, prices are fair. They pay close attention to any allergies you may have (which isn't always the case). The staff's kindness adds that extra touch to a pleasant experience. The welcoming owner occasionally pops in to chat and check on everyone; excellent manners. Maybe it's the name...'Nonna Gina,' but it feels just like eating at your grandmother's, who used to prepare traditional dishes in a cozy, intimate atmosphere, yet with the elegance befitting a festive occasion. The only thing I dare say is that it's a little warm inside, but that doesn't affect the top rating. I recommend booking because there are limited seats and it's always busy. Well done to all the staff! We'll be back soon!
