the lampredotto sandwich I ate here is fantastic, highly recommended

The Lampredotto sandwich is good and tasty. On Saturday there was a bit of a crowd and it was around 12.30pm. Let's say that the sandwich was full (Nerbone is famous for this compared to others), but not excessively as seen in other video reviews. Maybe try it on a weekday when there are fewer people, have you ever seen them make it more abundant. However 100% recommended.

Tucked away in one corner of the Central Food Market in Florence, Da Nerbone is a bit of a culinary institution, serving up delicious paninos. They offer the Tuscan speciality of Lampredotto (tripe/cow stomach), or if you're less adventurous, the roast beef and the roast pork variants, slow cooked in a flavourful, rich broth until the meat is tender and fall-apart consistency. They ladle a spoonful of that fragrant broth on both sides of a crusty Italian bread, pile on generous amounts of the roast meat of your choice, add a few secret sauces and then pour another ladle of the broth on top of the assembled sandwich, which the Italian bread drinks in with delight, allowing a softer, more luxuriant bite. The queues are long but move quick; their paninos are the best sellers but they also serve big plates of their roast beef, pork and tripe by themselves too. Supremely filling, ridiculously affordable for a city bustling with tourists (€5.50 for the roast pork, €6 for the roast beef, and one was enough to knock out a big eater like me.) Well worth your time and money.

The filling is soft and tender, full of fragrance Too bad it's not hot I feel a bit nauseous. The bread crust is a bit too hard to chew 70% of the people in the queue are Taiwanese 🤣 Even the shop assistants can say "beef tripe bun"

The tripe burger was tastier than I expected. The bread is delicious and there is no smell from the tripe. The staff are friendly.

When I went there at two or three in the afternoon, the tripe buns had been sold out, and only the plated tripe set meal was left. Although the price was a little higher, it was amazingly delicious, and I was very satisfied with the pure taste of the ingredients! Well worth a try!

Inside the Florence Market. A stone's throw from the station. Amazing lampredotto. But everything is delicious. And a fair price.

Place to find typical Tuscan food at reasonable prices. It is located inside the central market. Fantastic lampredotto sandwich and boiled meat sandwich. Friendly and helpful staff.

Alla frase “Panino con lampredotto” ti viene in mente solo uno: lui, il mitico Nerbone. Andiamo al mercato centrale prima di mezzogiorno per non beccare la fila e booom la fila arrivava addirittura fuori. Mi metto in fila e inizio la mia processione, prendo 2 panini un con lampredotto e un altro per mia moglie con lo stracotto 1 coca cola e un bel bicchiere di chianti. Arriva il mio turno e dopo appena un oretta di fila mi farciscono i panini e sotto consiglio del signore (tra l’altro molto gentile e simpatico) dietro al bancone mi fa 2 paninetti per provare sia il lampredotto e sia il bollito. Risultato?? Erano spaziali con la loro salsa verde e il piccante. Grazie per il consiglio il prossimo week end a Firenze ne prenderò 2 solo per me ;p!!!!!

Habe mit meiner Familie dort den Lampredotto gegessen. Meine Kinder ein Brot mit Schweinsbraten. Sehr nette, typisch italienische Marktatmosphäre. Eine Dame aus dem Nerbone-Team war sehr nett und hat meinem Sohn, der im Rollstuhl sitzt gleich einen Tisch organisiert. Alles sehr toll! 4 große Brot plus Wasser und 0,5 l Wein 25 Euro!
