Particular restaurant, if you love game it is the best you can find near Pescasseroli. I include it in the 3 best restaurants in Abruzzo, with specialties and excellence in the dishes. If you have never been to Mauro you have truly missed one of the best restaurants which I certainly recommend 😉

Excellence, anything you get from Mauro is a specialty, the cost is slightly higher than average but money well spent if you want to eat well and have quality things. Mauro is always a confirmation, every year we come back and it is always better. I recommend everyone to try it and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have been several times and have always eaten very well, but alas, managing a customer is not their thing. I booked a week in advance so as not to have any problems, 12.45pm and I was told to let them know if we were a little late. Due to an unexpected event, I left at 11:00 and promptly called to move the time to 1:30, the beginning of the ordeal: meaningless speeches and three thousand apologies and a reservation canceled without the right to reply because I was interrupting his "shift". Relationships with customers are another thing. Recommended only if you go an hour early.

26/08/2024: Sotto l'arco di Porta s. Antonio (e sulla piazzetta resa famosa dal film "Parenti serpenti") il locale è semplice, fresco, curato. Le ragazze di sala sono molto gentili, il servizio è veloce e attento. Bello e ricco il buffet degli antipasti (da provare la ricotta tiepida di pecora), buonissimi i primi della tradizione (ravioloni abruzzesi e chitarra alle zucchine), carni di ottima qualità, deliziosa la cassata sulmonese. Porzioni non enormi (almeno rispetto alla media in Abruzzo..) e conto molto onesto.
25/08/2024: Ristorante entro le mura del centro storico di Sulmona, vicino al B&B e ben consigliato. 2 Dale una con aria condizionata e una con pale un po' più caldo. Menù con piatti abruzzesi con qualche novità. Personale simpatico e attento al cliente. Piatti generosi e prezzi nella norma. Siamo stati 2 sere di fila per apprezzare quello che non avevamo provato la prima sera.fa provare ma ricordate di prenotare.

Ristorante I Cinque Sensi

02/08/2024: It's a typical trattoria, we went as a group for pizza, an evening to forget... Not very organized for Gluten Free. Worth trying again for the typical menu.
18/07/2024: Four of us arrived at the restaurant, two adults8 and two boys, after reading some reviews. The reality is very different, in my opinion, compared to previous reviews. In practice we were welcomed with great education and respect by the manager, the place was also quite popular with local people. In practice the menu was very, very limited and not of particular quality. But I don't feel like giving a bad review because the staff was friendly and the kitchen did what it could.
