I was there yesterday with an organized trip to see the splendid Basilica which is located 2 minutes from the Marte restaurant. The place is small, in fact there were 50 of us and we filled the whole room. We ate very well with a family service that made us feel at ease. The mustards made by the owner are delicious, as are the appetizers, the roast and the macaroni with speck. The finish was with sbrisolona and zabaglione served directly from the copper pan...fabulous! I don't know the price because it was included in the trip. Highly recommended, I will go back when I am in the area

A little hidden place, a pearl, if you pass by San Benedetto Po go there and find abundant and delicious dishes, also available for vegetarians, huge pizzas and homemade mustards that will leave you speechless.

Andare da Marte è un'esperienza enogastronomica da fare assolutamente, tutto eccezionale, dagli antipasti alla mostarda (ne hanno decine di tipi). Qui, pur essendo Mantovana, ho gustato i migliori tortelli di zucca degli ultimi anni e ho potuto apprezzare l'incontro di ravioli friarielli con fonduta al tartufo, un accostamento che non consideravo ma che mi ha estasiato. Atmosfera familiare ma professionale, begli ambienti, curati.

Arrivati per vedere il Mercatino dell'antiquariato, abbiamo prenotato per il pranzo. Ottimo il Fritto di mare con patatine, ma anche il sorbetto al limone e la torta della nonna. Personale gentilissimo e servizio veloce nonostante le due sale piene di gente. Locale pulito e ben tenuto.

01/05/2025: After the trip to the flea market in Gonzaga, we came to have lunch here, super friendly staff and even though they weren't on the menu! They satisfied us with donkey stew with polenta and pumpkin tortelli! Well what can I say! Everything sublime! We also took an appetizer of cured meats and fried dumplings which was not not greasy at all! Vote 10!
15/04/2025: After a morning in the car and a visit to the Gonzaga fair, we went to eat in a simple trattoria where we relaxed and enjoyed an excellent lunch, with a typical traditional local menu, done to perfection. We know that you can eat well in friendly places, but it's not a given that you'll also find excellent service. I say this because it was a pleasure to see young and passionate guys who served us in a professional, convivial and fast way! Just to make you understand, we ordered pumpkin tortelli with tomato and bacon but they arrived with melted butter; apologizing they remade our dishes just long enough to cook them. At the checkout, they apologized again for the mistake and it denotes that passion and desire to do well that makes the difference! Well done, you deserve 5 stars overall 👏
