Excellent fish cuisine, with some meat proposals always very carefully prepared, imaginative and valid one foot in tradition, fantastic cellar, fine and excellently managed environment. In Rialto there is no one like them and with a very adequate quality/price ratio. They have added a very varied vegan menu, which can be used to alternate fish and meat dishes. Finish with a dessert, I'm not greedy, but I found it excellent, they prepare it fresh on the spot (like millefeuille), with possible variations. You will recommend it later..... Mario alla Fava also pays attention to the needs of celiacs. Thanks always to the staff!

Ho sempre trovato molto difficile mangiare bene a Venezia, ma da Mario alla Fava tutto è stato altamente delizioso. Io ho mangiato pesce e il mio compagno ha provato il menù vegano. Tutto è curato nei minimi particolari, il servizio è impeccabile e il gusto è qualcosa che difficilmente dimenticherò, soprattutto lo scorfano! Ringrazio molto della bellissima esperienza!

The vegan menu was very good. They have typical dishes like gnochetti with basil pesto and vegan eggplant parmigiana. Also a vegan cheese board which was delicioso. I recommend this.

a real and good Venezian restaurant

Small place not far from Piazza S. Marco. Very extensive menu, both vegan and non-vegan. We absolutely must compliment the chef for the imagination and goodness of the dishes, especially the vegan ones. Unfortunately the prices are average for the tourist center of Venice. Very helpful, prepared and professional service. Recommended if you are looking for a meal to suit all tastes!

We had dinner at this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Since I'm vegan while my partner is an omnivore, we looked for a place that offered options to satisfy both of us. So we discovered this hidden and wonderful restaurant. The environment was quiet and pleasant, the staff extremely attentive: they checked all the glasses against the light before placing them at the table, to make sure they were not dirty. It was very pleasant to see the waiter completing the desserts on the spot on the counter before serving them. The food was special, a full vegan menu, full of very interesting choices, as well as the omnivore menu, which was even more extensive. I ordered the Rossi gnocchi with basil pesto with pine nuts and walnuts, which were a delight for the palate, while my partner ordered a truly quality beef carpaccio. While we were waiting for our order, the waiter offered us a small sample of an appetizer which consisted of a deconstructed caprese and a pumpkin cream with some very tasty spring onions... in short, a very welcome surprise, which exactly reflected our tastes. Finally we ordered dessert, strawberry soup with champagne ice cream, blueberry crumble and mint leaves... truly a fresh pleasure to end dinner. Together with a glass of white wine, water and cover charge (the basket of bread was offered) we spent a total of €79.41. Yes, the price is high, but it is perfectly related to the experience and in line with the best restaurants in Venice. Extreme friendliness and excellent quality were the protagonists of this evening and we left the restaurant satisfied and happy.
