Beautiful location in the mountains of Lucca, a terrace overlooking the lake. Informal place with plastic tables and chairs. Fixed menu at 25 euros with little choice but sincere and genuine dishes. The real negative point is the service, amateurs in disarray, there is no organization in the management of the tables, the waitresses wander disoriented among the tables in a disorganized manner, the consequences
there are very long waiting times and tables served before others who have been waiting for dozens and dozens of minutes.
A piece of advice: review the organization of the service.

Let's start from the price €23 starter, first course, second course, side dish, drinks and dessert included which is almost impossible to find nowadays. Average classic Tuscan appetizer, first course tordelli nothing special, second course cockerel and steak very very good, the cockerel exceptional. We ate outside with a distant view of the sea, very beautiful, the outdoor space should be organized in such a way that people don't have to eat under the sun for 2 hours (not all the tables). Friendly staff. I will return during the week, so as to evaluate the restaurant on a day with fewer people. Booking recommended. Overall I recommend it.

Mariano never disappoints. Historic home-made trattoria in Lucca, very popular in summer and winter. I recommend booking, even during the week, to have a guaranteed table, as it is always very crowded.
The menu is not particularly varied, but allows you to enjoy starters, first courses, second courses and side dishes, with dessert and drinks, at a fixed price (currently €23).
Enjoyable classic Tuscan appetizer with cured meats and cheeses. Generous portions of the first courses: highly recommended are the tordelli with ragù, delicious, homemade, they melt in your mouth.
Suitable place for a dinner with family or friends, without too many pretensions but with the desire to eat well and be together.

Locale piccolo ma confortevole. Servizio rapido, personale disponibile nonostante il ristorante fosse pieno. All’inizio della cena viene raccontata brevemente la storia dello chef e descritti alcuni piatti, compresi quelli fuori menù con l indicazione del prezzo di quest’ultimi ( cosa rarissima!!!).
Piatti uno più buono dell’altro… che dire, consigliato!

Siamo stati da Mariano con la famiglia. Cercavamo un posto dove poter mangiare ultra tipico. Nonostante la strada impegnativa per arrivarci siamo stati ripagati da un'esperienza felicissima. Locale molto bello e spartano, menù fisso a pochi euro. Una tipica osteria come piace a noi. Cibo ottimo! Stra consigliato.
