An "old-fashioned" restaurant. Time seems to have stood still. (I'm talking about the structure.) The food is excellent and well-prepared. Excellent service. Courteous and helpful staff. Very reasonable prices. I'd simply say highly recommended.

Dinner on July 17, 2025. Located at the beginning of the Pino Tunnel road, near the departure station for the Sassi railway, the restaurant, spartan as befits a bowling club, offers predominantly Piedmontese cuisine that meets expectations and budget. Acoustic comfort, considering the low attendance, is good. We ordered: tomini al verde, a Savoy appetizer, plentiful and of decent quality (only the vitello tonnato would have been better with a slightly tastier sauce), a thin and well-cooked breaded steak, and a Valdostana-style steak, although different from the traditional recipe, pleasant. The wine list is understandably limited. The service was courteous and fairly quick, at least on the Thursday evening of our dinner. If you're serious about your food and want a good-value dinner, this is a place worth considering. The bill was quite reasonable, especially considering the portions. Rating: 7.5

Posto all’inizio di strada del traforo del Pino, nei pressi della stazione di partenza della ferrovia per Sassi, il locale, spartano come si addice ad una bocciofila, offre una cucina prevalentemente piemontese adeguata alle aspettative e all’esborso. Comfort acustico, tenendo presente la scarsa affluenza di avventori, di buon livello. Noi abbiamo ordinato: tomini al verde, un antipasto sabaudo, abbondante e di discreta qualità (solo il vitello tonnato lo avrei preferito con una salsa un po’ più gustosa), una bistecca impanata sottile e ben cotta ed una bistecca alla valdostana, seppur difforme dalla ricetta tradizionale, gradevole. Carta dei vini, comprensibilmente, ridotta. Servizio cortese e abbastanza rapido, almeno nella serata del giovedì della nostra cena. Se badate al sodo e volete cenare a buon prezzo, è un posto da tenere presente. Conto abbastanza economico, in considerazione anche delle porzioni. Voto: 7,5

Simple and welcoming atmosphere, attentive and well-disposed waiting staff, excellent and plentiful food.

Business lunch in hand, fast service and generous portions. Few restaurants in the area offer such a choice at this price.

A very pleasant discovery, we ate very well in the cool of the outdoor area at honest prices. Recommended!
